Scottie got me a lovely bunch of Christmas presents, he wrapped them and put them under the tree and everything and it was so sweet and lovely because he's sweet and lovely and WONDERFUL. Yes.
I have more presents that I took pictures of but here's one of them, one of the Inner Monster MH dolls. Scottie knew that I wanted the blue girl so he surprised me with her. I was having FEELINGS.

So tonight while I was watching the Voice I started prepping the patterns for cloth dolls, but I don't know that I have the fabric for them yet around. I'll have to check, but I might have to wait for payday to pick up proper fabric before I actually start on that project.
Some Voice ramble (is anyone else here still watching?)
It was was alright, I was suprised that one country boy stayed on- I mean he's nice enough but he's not that good... but I can't even be mad about it because he genuinely seems nice. Also I was really happy that Kat got saved but that's mostly because of how hopeful Adam was to keep her. I never got attached to anyone this season, though I do like the youtube girl and that one guy on Usher's team. Also the girl on Shakira's team. Those people are all still there, so yay! Though the fact that I don't know any of their names doesn't really say good things for how involved I'm in this season.

So then I went back to my sculpting! I needed to edit the head armature a bit again, which is sort of difficult when I have sculpt on it already. But it was too close to the jawline, and I finally decided to deal with it. I took out a piece and then resculpted the area and I'm way happier now. Then randomly I decided it was time to add an ear! So I sculpted an ear on. Scottie was amused when I said I was using an actual photo reference of his ear. He was like "I'm not surprised that there is a picture of Hiddles ear..." and I was like "Well, it wasn't a picture of just his ear, it was a picture of him that happened to have a good view of his ear..." but then we both agreed that there are probably pictures of just his ear somewhere.

Also tonight I watched Agents of SHIELD and it was amazeballs I can't wait for the finale eeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Thoughts under a spoiler cut

Coulson was completely adorbs when he was looking at all the old tech, and also when he was undercover. I loved the file download too. xD
Fitz kept breaking my heart with his hopes.
I don't know what I think about Evil!Ward just yet. He also sort of breaks my little heart.
Of course, I'm watching Marvelverse where a thing I say often is "That's ok I didn't need my heart anwaaaaaay"

I also watched a couple episodes of the animated Avengers Assemble series (which is like my other most favourite series right now wut?), and they were also totes amazeballs. xD
The first episode I watched was Doomstroyer, which started out with a bit with the Destroyer (not surprising...) and then Thor went to get help from Asgard, which had me on the edge of my seat because I thought I might know what was coming. And I was right. LOKI! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

So will you be bowing to me now, or later? I'll also accept a simple thank you. And then bowing.
Of course, cue my unintelligble fangirling. Scottie says that for his sake they should never come out with a Loki movie because I will end up having a brain aneurysm and he loves me and would prefer me to not do that. Of course I disagreed and said that I wouldn't, and it should totes be a thing, and it should be a thing like nao. WAAAAAAANTS

Then there was another episode that we watched with Impossible Man, which was hilarious. Scottie and I talked about what would happen if Loki, Impossible Man, and Deadpool teamed up. Loki would get so frustrated with them though. xD

Also watched Henson's Creature Shop, I haven't been writing my thoughts on that though for a while. It's been interesting! (I was thinking though today that I missed Face-Off, and now JHCS will be done soon too boo. I know Face-Off will be back soon but still.)

I have felt really sick for much of today, so all of the Marvel amazing-ness was very welcome in making me feel better.

Ok, so I was going to do something productive. I ended up doing something sort of productive? I think? I've been meaning to add more Hiddles/Adam/Loki icons into my icons... so yeah I pruned some of my less used icons and added more of those into my icon lineup. ehehehe It is something that I wanted to do, but it's not exactly the most productive thing that I might have done. I'd meant to do something creative. Erm, oops. But yay for more new icons? xD
I'm irrationally attached to my older icons even if I know that realistically I'm going to pick some flavor of Hiddles for everything so it's hard to prune out icons eeeee
Also realistically I know I'm going to have to prune out more later for more Hiddles related icons. IT IS INEVITABLE.

Scottie and I went to a couple of things today, there was free comic book day and the spring library book sale. There wasn't going to be anything particularly special like I know other areas have for Free Comic Book day, so we didn't end up going to the comic book shop proper since the library also had the selection of free comic books there from the comic book shop, and we were definitely going to the library book sale.
I'm going to go to the comic book shop soon once I get my paycheck so I can check on the status of my pull box, to see if I'm going to start ordering my comics online since they can't seem to get their shit together and actually pull things for my pull box. This is the most frustrating thing, omg, I've talked to them multiple times about it by now and they never fix it. It's not bloody rocket science! I've had to order comics online already- like the last issue of Young Avengers, I missed it because it didn't get pulled for me. THAT WAS ONE OF THE TWO COMICS THAT I STARTED MY PULL BOX WITH HOW DID NEITHER GET ON MY PULL LIST. Why do you have my pull box there with literally nothing to put in it except for one thing that is no longer needed? Why. Do you not want my money. Seriously.

Ok that wasn't where I was originally going with this. Ok, so the free comic that I was most excited about (not surprisingly) was the Marvel one. xD Rocket Raccoon and Spidey! :D Ok I first wrote that as Rocket Raccoon/Spidey and that... doesn't look right. *koff*

Books are fancinating things

Scottie got a couple of books about making dollhouses, because he is AMAZING and wants to build dollhouses for me. That would be such an upgrade from my current staging for pictures. I always wanted a dollhouse when I was little. I never did then but I CAN HAVE ONE NOW THOUGH MWAHAHAHA.

I got a couple of books about making cloth dolls (it looked really neat, and that was actually something that I was going to look at playing around with tonight I don't have ADD wut and I got a book about making clay jewelry.

Also while we were there Scottie picked up a couple of books that he'd been waiting on from interlibrary loan.
Ah shoot I was at the library I should have picked up the next Thor collected volume. *headdesk* I'm currently reading a Deadpool collected volume but I needs my Looooooki.

We were also going to do something for Beltane today but we had something of a mix-up with location... so that didn't happen today. I want to do it tomorrow though. I need to burn something which is why we can't just do it inside.
That mix-up caused me to have a massive anxiety attack so I wouldn't have been much good for doing a ritual even when we got home anyway. That wasn't the best part of the day. eheh I have much talent in the realm of doing all the wrong things, let me tell you.

Later me and Scottie played some of the Pathfinder card game that we have, I think that was a good idea to get my mind off of the less good loop my brain had gotten stuck in. :P

Anyway, I have no idea what I'm doing still up. Ooooh just heard Bloody Angel by Avatar and it's an awesome song... NO SLEEP TANYA SLEEEEEP WHEN DID IT BECOME 3AM WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU UUUUGH

Overdue sculpting update and another AMA question!

I do! Scottie has done tarot readings for me, and I've also had them done by a woman at my old wiccan group. Scottie is better though. I have a dragon deck but I've not done any readings yet. I am looking for an appropriate deck for myself. I like the dragons but it's not the right one- I'd really like a Norse deck but there aren't that many good ones that I can find. Scottie was even talking about me making my own set but that's not something I'm going to do right now. :3

What about you friends?

This is the last few days worth of sculpting progress actually. There is a lot of fiddley work with a human face, but I do like how it's coming along. Tonight I actually resculpted the left eye, I'd had that done earlier but I'd decided that it should be redone. I like it much better now. :3 I've worked on the right side of the face, head shaping, started the mouth sculpt, cheekbones, etc etc.
Also in this picture the Pony!Loki armour pieces are nearby. :3

I did take a couple of pictures that I'd meant to post on Easter. I thought Twyla would be cute for it because of her bunny. I don't really do too much with the holiday, it's not my religion so I don't do that sort of thing, and we didn't do too much else with it this year. Scottie is making me a fountain though as a gift because he's awesome. :3

In other news I've been doing sculpting on my Loki head. I think it's coming along well but it's a lot of little changes- not really picture worthy yet. I hope to get a bit more done with that soon.

Oh man, I remember last summer having to do something like this when the fire alarm was going off in our apartment building. I was in such a panic though because the cat was freaking out and we had to find the ferret. xP

I grabbed my backpack and shoved in my laptop, Scottie's netbook, my sketchbook and Thor. I'd wanted to grab a doll but I just got overwhelmed by what to choose and didn't take any. Plus I knew that Scottie would prefer if I didn't stay in a potentially burning building for stuff, and I'd seen smoke in the hall.

Ok, so I'm going to not count the ferret towards stuff because he isn't stuff. I'm also not going to count things that I wear all the time- so my wedding ring doesn't count and neither does my Loki pendant. Also I usually have my phone in my pocket. Maybe the phone is sort of cheating but work with me here you know how I aaaaaam (I had the Loki pendant and rings on when I ran out this summer, and likely would have had the phone too except I wasn't using a smartphone at the time)

My requirements for grabbing things to run out of a burning building with are that they are portable and easily accessible. Pets don't count in the easily accessible category.

I'm basing this entry on what I ended up grabbing in the heat of the moment then because that makes sense. But still only three things? That's less than what I took that time. xD


Ok, so the first thing that I'd want to take is my laptop because it's expensive and useful and full of important things. After thinking about the doll thing from before, I realized that I should have grabbed one doll- my BJD Saya. She's very special to me and also one of my most valuable items, and she would be difficult to replace. I can also upgrade grabbing Thor now that I have that I have the Phase One Marvel set- It comes with Thor and the Avengers as well as other movies and my Tesseract! It fits my requirements as it is easily portable in it's case and easy to grab.

Perhaps there are better things to grab, but that's what I thought of. n_n'

I watched Agents of SHIELD tonight. Some of my feels under a spoiler cut:
Me and Scottie can't tell if Ward is actually conflicted or not. I'm not sure though we do believe that he really has feelings for Skye.
I was so amused by the lanyard thing. xD LANYARDS WILL BE GIVEN OUT ON A CASE BY CASE BASIS. I love that actor. He's awesome. xD
I feel like there is going to be problems with Fitsimmons.
Me and Scottie were amused by the Slingshot program being a fake. This coming from Fury, the guy that used Tesseract tech to make weapons and start an alien invasion... yeaaaaah. Obviously he's not going to actually want to give up all that stuff.
Ok, so I got too tired to actually make a more coherant post about that, but still. n_n'

Well, it sort of depends on the zombies. Are they fast zombies or slow zombies? Are they intelligent or are they unthinking shufflers?
Also there is a difference between intial and long term, but this is for the initial.

I'm going to go with the slow shuffling stupid zombies for this scenario.

First off, if I'm not with Scottie I need to get to him. Because if there isn't Scottie then there's not much point! We're going to say that we do meet back up.
Crap I need to actually have a contingency plan for this. I asked Scottie what our plan was but he was too sleepy to really think about it then lol. Apparently he's been trying to get this plan out of me for a while. Usually when I'm in the field though and probably all my brain would say to that is I AM FAR BEYOND ABLE TO HANDLE WHAT I AM DOING NOW I CAN'T IMAGINE WHAT I WOULD DO IF IT WERE WORSE SYSTEM FAILURE SYSTEM FAILURE *mac beachball*

Atm though I think I can figure out a plan of how to get from one side of town to the other if I was at the office. First off, I would go to the storage area across the way. I'd take my knife to make my way over there, or something better. Once to the storage area though I'd have access to firearms. I'm not sure how much ammo there might be back there, but there's probably a decent amount. I'm trained and certified in shooting and cleaning shotguns, so I'm good with that.

I think that that might actually be a good place to look for starter stuff. There's a ton of field supplies and things that I could use for weapons. I'm not sure, there might even be some food. If the plan is for me to walk home (which I can't say is the safest plan here, it's 4 miles home which I do daily but not in zombieland) I'd just look for enough weapons to carry. If Scottie drove to get me maybe we could pull out some supplies.
There is fishing stuff back there too, it's possible that maybe we could grab some of that and a boat out of the back for longer term planning. If it's summer I know how to pilot boats, maintain them (not all, but some maintenence), and do all parts of drift gillnetting (it would be hard for me physically because I am small but I could actually even do it alone if I had to). Also doing stuff from the beach for when we run out of gas. If you give me string, line I can weight, and something that can float I can literally make you an entire net to fish with. I practically have.
I'm all about getting out of the city, and if I can use all my random survival skills to keep us fed and alive that's a good thing. Work with what you know?

Ok guys, it has occurred to me that I have totes revised my original zombie outbreak plan when I realized that I am at such a useful place. If me and Scottie are at home, perhaps instead of hitting up a store for supplies we should head to my office. It should actually be a good place because we wouldn't want to go to the same stores as everyone else. We live in a big city though so there would be a lot of places to choose from. We'd most likely want to hit up a store for food- I'd like to get a lot of like camp food and emergency food- stuff that will last and is easily portable. I'd also want to get medical supplies. There should be first aid stuff at my office, or any other store we'd be hitting up. But also we live around a lot of doctors offices, a vet, and more.
Also I'd really like archery equipment because I have more experience with archery than guns. Plus I'm all about Darren's weapon of choice. Ammo you can reuse and isn't noisy, yus! Plus I really do have more experience with archery and I would much much rather do that than firearms.


I think I'd like to find some sort of defensible building outside of town to hole up with Scottie. But again that's longer term planning.
I wouldn't want to stay at our apartment because I don't think it's defensible enough by itself. I probably would want to grab all my field equipment. Yay for all my random supplies and skills lol.

Although what I would most like to do would be steal one of the sailboats in one of the port areas around here, load the supplies on that, and spend time away from land altogether. I've spent a lot of time on water and so I'm used to that. Both of us want to know how to sail but atm don't actually know how. I wonder if we could have a video game scenario where we meet up with a sailor and then we can all head out together. I even have sailing friends but they don't live here. :P

Although I live in Alaska, aren't we already in one of the places that people say don't have zombies?

lol well I could talk about this longer but I should head to bed. Still need to post about Winter Soldier and Pirate Fairy, those will have to wait until tomorrow.

This was my first username ever! At the time that I was trying to figure out a new name, I was a huge X-Phile. I was also really into The Crow, and my character inspiration had a lot of black make-up that made me think of that a bit.
Invisigoth is a character out of the X-Files, the episode Kill Switch. She's a hacker that uploads her consciousness. It seemed appropriate for a username. :3 The actual spelling was taken, so I spelled it how it sounded, and that was free. So there's that. xD

I never had a different lj though! Before I got my lj invite (from conuly!) in November 2003, I'd been trying to use deadjournal I think, but I really wanted a lj. I don't think there was much of anything at that deadjournal. I have a blogger thing and a dreamwidth, but those are just mirrors for this.

Not quite as long of an entry as yesterday! Now for at least some of the entry that I'd wanted to write yesterday. I still have tv to talk about later, but here is my photoshoot!

Yesterday Scottie and I went and voted in a city election, and afterward we went and grabbed dinner from McDonalds. (he was going to make burgers, but the meat hadn't thawed in time) When we went in, I saw that McDonalds had MLP toys! Eeeeee! So cuuuute! So like when there were the Build a Bear toys, I got a kids meal for dinner. I got a pony! The boys toys were Skylanders and they accidently put one of those in my box instead. Scottie being the amazing man that he is went up and got it switched to the right thing for me. They gave him a choice of three and he picked Celestia for me.
I did a photoshoot with my Pony!Lala, Twyla, and of course, the little pony. I think she looks like she's a little chibi or something. xD

Funnily enough I was watching the most recent episode of Suburgatory and that was all about proposals.
The proposal at the end was SO CUTE. I also love that Dahlia walked by with her number while texting.
I think I have wedding stuffs on the brain because that sort of stuff is going on in my RP too. WEDDINGS. WEDDINGS EVERYWHERE.


I also watched a bit of TV tonight! I finally got to watch the Avengers Assemble special, and it was amazing! There was a fair amount of Hiddles and Loki clips, and that always is a good thing. x3

But not just that, all the Marvel squee in general! I was so excited to see all the clips (I mean, I'd seen a lot of the clips or heard the stories before because I troll youtube like, well like the fangirl I am, but I still loved it eeee <3)
I especially liked being able to share it with Scottie, because he's a fan while I'm a fanatic. There's a difference. ehehehe It was exciting to share how adorkable Clark Gregg is, and for Scottie to see the mastermind Feige, and everything else. x3
Though I couldn't help but be annoyed by the lady that said "Loki is the villian you love to hate and hate to love" (I think, I'm tired).

Hating Loki isn't even in the realm of my world, and I have exactly zero problem with my Loki love. I know that I can't speak for all of Loki's Army, but I'd imagine that's not an uncommon thing? So I feel like she kinda missed the point of all the fan love Loki has. Also I get annoyed by having that sort of put in my mouth. (This is a pet peeve of mine that includes a lot of things including a ton of assumptions about girls and comic book movies and Loki just grumble grumble grumble. xP)
But back to the awesome!
Also something that was awesome about the show- it sold Scottie on Guardians of the Galaxy! I think he might have also gotten more excited about Winter Soldier. For GotG I was sold on it immediately, but Scottie hadn't seen much about it and so wasn't as sure. I'm even more sold on Winter Soldier.
I'm really excited about all the upcoming movies! I'm most excited about whenever Loki 3 starts filming, but you know how I am. xD

Scottie had fun with me squeaking at him again. I asked him if I was speaking fangirl when I'd been talking about the Marvel cartoons, but said that if it was fangirl it would probably make more sense (it should at least have words geeking out about stuff!), he said it was broken fangirl. I just get so excited I just start squeeing. lol

ANYWAY. So that was awesome. Scottie said he felt bad it had taken so long to watch it, but I knew we needed to move some of the other stuff off of the DVR first since that particular show wasn't going anywhere. n_n

Let's see, we also watched an episode of Face-Off, we're still an episode behind still though. We watched the Willy Wonka episode.

I wasn't surprised that the plant sent the girl home, it turned out really really poorly. Sad that the show is a sausage fest now though.
I wasn't sold on the little guys alien looking thing. I still don't know anyone's names I am doomed this season. It made me think of Jar Jar Binks in a way, and that's not really a good thing.
I reall liked the black and white two sided make-up, but like Scottie said the lack of colour was an odd choice.
I am really glad that the wormy make-up won! That guy is my favorite, so I'm happy for him.

I also watched the first episode of Jim Henson's Creature Challenge. That was an interesting show. I don't like it as much as Face-Off, but it was interesting.

I need to change my icons this weekend. I need moar Hiddles~

I have a dentist appointment tomorrow. I don't like the dentist but at least it's just a cleaning/check-up.

So tonight I continued working on my Loki sculpt. I've started roughing in the other side of the face, and worked on the other as well. I really need to get a mouth on there soon because the placeholder mouth is sort of driving me nuts. I got more reference pictures and I think I'm going to resculpt the eyes because I'm not happy with them. I did some surgery on the head core since the head didn't end up in exactly the proportion I originally intended and so the core wasn't exactly in the right spot. I spent a fair bit of my sculpting time tonight actually getting that fixed up, which made me nervous because I was afraid I was going to smush his whole face on accident.

Watched the Voice tonight. I liked that the first song was Happy by Pharrell. People on twitter had said it should be Hiddles' theme song, and I like that thought.

Plus it's a fun song. I'm not sure there was anything else in particular that jumped out at me.

I really liked the Blacklist tonight. :3

So now she knows that her hubby isn't what he seems, which should be interesting moving forward.
But the last bit with the music box and Reddington hit me in the feels. It seriously made the entire episode for me.
I really love James Spader's character. Scottie likes him too. It will be interesting to know more about why he is the way he is.

Watched Believe tonight too. Scottie said that he was impressed by the way they are pacing out the show. They're not info-dumping so much that it feels like an info-dump, but they've put a lot of stuff out there and it's only on it's third episode. Also, they've maintained an air of mystery. Also, I like the two main characters quite a bit.

Time for bed~
