You can invite five people (alive or dead) to dinner. Who do you invite and why? becofoz

Scottie and I were talking about this, and we decided that he's helping me host this so he doesn't count against the limit. Of course he has to be there. We also decided that he would also get five guests. I said he could post a post in his, but he said that he probably wouldn't so I could just post it here. xD We also said I could post the guest list mixed up so that people could guess who was on who's list, but then I wouldn't be able to post my reasons.

And I'm assuming that this doesn't allow for characters, or gods, or stuffs like that.

Hrm.. who to invite...

HIDDLES. Yus. Hiddles. Mmm... Anyone who didn't anticipate this has to be new here

Well, I want to invite Chris Hemsworth because Hiddles and Hemsworth are adorkable.

I would also like to invite Shakespeare (or Marlowe, or whoever the hell wrote those plays) because 1) I quite like Shakespeare (I took classes on it and everything at university before I even knew Hiddles existed, so I can be all hipster Hiddlestoner) and 2) Hiddles is a huge nerd about Shakespeare (as he says) and it would be amazing to see him geek out over that.

Yes this dinner so far is all about me seeing Hiddles get excited about things I'M NOT GOING TO BE LOOKING ELSEWHERE ANYWAY I DO WHAT I WANT~

I would also like to invite Alyson Hannigan, because she is my favourite actress. I <3 Willow~

I would also like to invite Wil Wheaton because I think he is awesome and I love Tabletop. Or possibly Chris Hardwick. It would be amazing to have both at the same time, but my table is full. I think that either of these would work well with the peope at the table. Hardwick might be a slightly better fit but I'm not sure.

I also really would like to invite Stan Lee (our Generalissimo!) and Joss Whedon, but uuuuuugh I don't have spaaaaace. It turns out that if I have to invite more people there are actually a few people that I would want...

So I got my fangirl gathering here. Scottie's is a bit less silly.

He decided on Jesus, Buddha, Muhammad- because all of those people together would be very interesting.
Then he thought about a scientist to invite and decided on Neil Degrasse Tyson.
Then with his last spot he wasn't sure. He wanted a good bridge between my guests and his.
It was a toss up between Jon Stewart and Nathan Fillion. He was thinking that Jon Stewart would be really cool, but since he is a browncoat he had to go with Fillion.

Then I will go with my slightly more fantastical table!
I choose Hiddles and the rest of the seats will be filled by....

Joss Whedon: I'd want to talk writing with him. I'd also like the opportunity to tell him how much his work helped me through my teenage years.

Nathan Fillion: For fandom reasons and also because I'd like to talk teaching and books with him. I love the Kids Need To Read charity.

Jim Henson: Creative genius. I'd love to be able to shake his hand.

Bill Nye: The Science Guy! I think I'd enjoy chatting with him.

L. Frank Baum: Again I'd love to hear his thoughts on writing and Oz is such a huge part of my life.

aaaaaand I realize I've not put any women at my table. Weird.

Louisa May Alcott: Again for the writing.

Queen Elizabeth I: I think she'd be fascinating. She would be a HBIC and I'd love to hear her thoughts on being Queen.

Sarah Slean: Even though I already know her I'd enjoy the chance to hear her just talk about creative things.

Hatshepsut: Because the story of a female Pharaoh is fascinating as is Egyptian history.

Felicia Day: I've not followed all that she does but she's working on so many things and really created herself as a brand and is totally a queen of the geeks. I'd think she'd be interesting to talk to.

I totally understand, I ended up with only Aly at my table for the womens! I'd probably have had more ladies but I had very specific priorities for mine. xD

Oh man I have to edit my table to have Felicia Day up there with Wil and Hardwick. I'm not sure which one of those three I'd pick for that spot. lol

Have you read any Marlowe? He definitely did not write Shakespeare's plays, their styles are very different. (I never realised just how good Shakespeare was until I read some of his contemporaries.)

No actually I haven't, I just know that Marlovians exist, and that there are theories about who actually might have written the plays. n_n I'm actually not really into the conspiracies that much myself, I just love the work. But for my "who I'm bringing to the table bit", I wanted the snag whoever was the person who actually wrote them to be there, if it was Shakespeare actually or someone else. n_n

Omg, I'd totally want to come to this dinner party. I think for mine I'd have Ghandi, the Dalai Lama, Hayao Miyazaki, Thor & Loki(I'm counting them as one lol) Maya Angelou, I can't stop at just 5 though lol. Felicia Day, George Takei, Edgar Allan Poe, Shakespeare, DaVinci, and lol Gir and Pinkie Pie. I think that's all. Though I may be forgetting someone lol.

Gah, Einstein, Tesla and Joss Whedon would be amazing too! Oh! And Kenzi, Bo and Dyson(actually all of the main characters would be awesome). Probably the cast of Glee, well the main cast and Marilyn Monroe, Bettie Page, Kat Von D cause she's totally hot, Steve Irwin and maybe Anna Nicole because she helped me to feel better about my size and being comfortable with being a curvy woman.
