Is it madness?

Ok, so I was going to do something productive. I ended up doing something sort of productive? I think? I've been meaning to add more Hiddles/Adam/Loki icons into my icons... so yeah I pruned some of my less used icons and added more of those into my icon lineup. ehehehe It is something that I wanted to do, but it's not exactly the most productive thing that I might have done. I'd meant to do something creative. Erm, oops. But yay for more new icons? xD
I'm irrationally attached to my older icons even if I know that realistically I'm going to pick some flavor of Hiddles for everything so it's hard to prune out icons eeeee
Also realistically I know I'm going to have to prune out more later for more Hiddles related icons. IT IS INEVITABLE.

Scottie and I went to a couple of things today, there was free comic book day and the spring library book sale. There wasn't going to be anything particularly special like I know other areas have for Free Comic Book day, so we didn't end up going to the comic book shop proper since the library also had the selection of free comic books there from the comic book shop, and we were definitely going to the library book sale.
I'm going to go to the comic book shop soon once I get my paycheck so I can check on the status of my pull box, to see if I'm going to start ordering my comics online since they can't seem to get their shit together and actually pull things for my pull box. This is the most frustrating thing, omg, I've talked to them multiple times about it by now and they never fix it. It's not bloody rocket science! I've had to order comics online already- like the last issue of Young Avengers, I missed it because it didn't get pulled for me. THAT WAS ONE OF THE TWO COMICS THAT I STARTED MY PULL BOX WITH HOW DID NEITHER GET ON MY PULL LIST. Why do you have my pull box there with literally nothing to put in it except for one thing that is no longer needed? Why. Do you not want my money. Seriously.

Seriously what the hell.

Ok that wasn't where I was originally going with this. Ok, so the free comic that I was most excited about (not surprisingly) was the Marvel one. xD Rocket Raccoon and Spidey! :D Ok I first wrote that as Rocket Raccoon/Spidey and that... doesn't look right. *koff*

Geez Tanya you're rambley no wonder you ended up randomly uploading icons instead of whatever you were planning on doing instead.

ANYWAY. BOOKS. BOOKS WAS WHAT I WAS GOING TO TALK ABOUT NEXT.

Books are fancinating things

Scottie got a couple of books about making dollhouses, because he is AMAZING and wants to build dollhouses for me. That would be such an upgrade from my current staging for pictures. I always wanted a dollhouse when I was little. I never did then but I CAN HAVE ONE NOW THOUGH MWAHAHAHA.

I got a couple of books about making cloth dolls (it looked really neat, and that was actually something that I was going to look at playing around with tonight I don't have ADD wut and I got a book about making clay jewelry.

Also while we were there Scottie picked up a couple of books that he'd been waiting on from interlibrary loan.
Ah shoot I was at the library I should have picked up the next Thor collected volume. *headdesk* I'm currently reading a Deadpool collected volume but I needs my Looooooki.

We were also going to do something for Beltane today but we had something of a mix-up with location... so that didn't happen today. I want to do it tomorrow though. I need to burn something which is why we can't just do it inside.
That mix-up caused me to have a massive anxiety attack so I wouldn't have been much good for doing a ritual even when we got home anyway. That wasn't the best part of the day. eheh I have much talent in the realm of doing all the wrong things, let me tell you.

Later me and Scottie played some of the Pathfinder card game that we have, I think that was a good idea to get my mind off of the less good loop my brain had gotten stuck in. :P

Anyway, I have no idea what I'm doing still up. Ooooh just heard Bloody Angel by Avatar and it's an awesome song... NO SLEEP TANYA SLEEEEEP WHEN DID IT BECOME 3AM WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU UUUUGH

Today has been sort of a rough one. I went to sleep last night a bit late- but then because I felt unwell I couldn't sleep for at least an hour. Then nightmares were waking me up. Then at some point nearer to morning I got a charlie horse cramp in my calf and that bothered me for a while. I've spent most of the day sort of flailing around being a not terribly functional entity.

While I watched the Voice tonight I made a silly sketch because I wanted to do something creative, and so just continuing to get used to the tablet seemed like something of a plan. This whole digital art thing is strange to me still!


I had plans to work on my sculpt, or work on the actual comic that I have going... but I decided that it would be best to not work on something that I actually cared about because I was afraid I'd end up doing it harm.

The Voice had some fun music, though still nobody has really grabbed me. I do have to giggle whenever Shakira says something about hips not lying because

Hips do not lie, they do exactly what they say on the tin.
I am easily amused. xD

Also, a moose just walked by, I saw him through our sliding glass door. Well then.

Now it is time for bed, though frustratingly, it appears that the internet has stopped working and I'm currently connected via my phone. e_e

My reaction to Jane:


Things I was excited about in this (besides anything with Loki in general):
The introduction of the Warriors Three (Fandral, Hogun, and Volstagg), the Infinity Stones, the introduction of Hela (Loki's bb!) and the Destroyer armor.

I was so happy during the first part of the book because Loki was prominently featured. At about the halfway point though Odin threw Loki into the Void. He appeared a couple of times after this but is still not back at the end of this book. He was still in the Tales of Asgard comics... until Odin threw Loki into suspended animation forever for things he hadn't done yet (obviously not for forever actually, since these comics are from the past). He was still not back in these by the end of this book.
Loki is my favorite character. This does not please me.

The colonizer aliens were odd, though I could see how they might have influenced the story for the Avengers movie. I thought the Hercules storyline was interesting, though after a while I really wanted to get back to my Norse gods, which we did.

Also! I finally made a reading Loki icon. I want to make one from stuff from the movie instead of just the promo stuff, but for now this will have to do. I swear every time I do a book post, or comment about books, I'd be thinking 'BUT THERE'S ALL THE STUFF WITH LOKI READING WHILE IMPRISONED WHY DO I NOT HAVE AN ICON OF THIS' but now I have fixed it. lol

So when I got home from work today I found this under the tree!

Scottie wanted to make sure that I had my present tonight so that I could play it right away! I have tomorrow off of work so I could play it later if I wanted. :3 I've played through Dishonored once already when we had our Gamefly trail membership going last Christmas, and I loved the game! But I only finished one playthrough (Clean Hands, the playing as a good character and getting the good ending basically), and there are a lot of trophies and things that I didn't get on that playthrough yet. But I didn't want to hog the rental forever, and I figured I'd get the game later. And then DLC came out for it too, which is on this disk! I'm super excited about it! I played that for much of the evening. :3

Scottie also pre-ordered the Pirate Fairy for me as I'd mentioned before, but that won't come in until spring I think. But I'm so excited about that! I am unashamed to say that I think the Tinkerbell movies are cute, and then when I found out that Hiddles was voicing Captian Hook I mean there's no question I'd want it. :3

I also drew Scottie a large comic panel which he really liked! (I know, I still need to get my comics up where you guys can see them, I'm going to figure that out soon!) I have something else that I want to do for him too. :3

Today at work I went around delivering all the cards to my coworkers, and did a lot of chatting. It was a very productive unproductive day. Everyone had Christmas-itis. lol

Bonus unrelated bit: Continuing my reading of classic Thor comics (which I am enjoying a lot!).
They've recently changed Loki's outfit where I am to not be the horned helmet, but the circlet with the smaller horns on the front and the wings on the sides. Unfortunetely the artist hasn't seemed to have settled on what his circlet is supposed to look like.
I am currently attempting to just pretend that Loki is shifting his outfit because lol he can do that, but I know that's not actually what's going on. Guys could you maybe try to remember from panel to panel if the band has the horns on it or not. end mini rant

I drew another chibi Loki/etc comic tonight! Scottie really likes them. :3 I'm still not sure exactly how I'm going to post them. I think if I do they should be coloured. And if I do start making comics regularly I should probably put them into a more standard format. Atm they're sort of running amok in my sketchbook. It's fun though!

Watched Rissoli and Isles tonight and got hit in the feels. It's so sad about Lee Thompson Young's passing. :(

Then I read the most recent Girls with Slingshots comic about the artist's grandmother's passing, and since it was all about sending postcards to an awesome gramma that also hit me in the feels. It made me think of my gramma, and the folder of postcards I have that will never be sent. She was an awesome lady and I miss her still.



Sorry about the lack of sculpting progress, I'll get back to posting art soon. I just haven't really figured out how I'm going to post my comic stuff and I haven't had time to sculpt! I hope I'm not being too boring. n_n'

Sigh, I don't want the weekend to be over.

I'm going to go do a bit of sculpting now, and possibly pop in Loki Thor. I don't want to drive Scottie bonkers though. I just get excited about stuff!

I've been sketching out chibi Loki and Avengers comics, and that's making me really excited! I might do more comics. I've never drawn chibi style before but it turns out that I'm pretty good at it. xD It's a lot of fun.


Of course, growing up around all the art theft on neopets has made me a super paranoid artist. It took a lot for me to finally put up pictures of my sculpts, but that's taking a picture of something 3D.

I've never posted pictures of any of my watercolours, drawings, or even my sketches past the glimpses of my ponies you see in my sketchbook. But I think that maybe I need to take inspiration from Hiddles!

I've been working on that. Because hiding my stuff away because I'm afraid that someone will take it really does me no good. :P

In other news, I think I put mom into Odinsleep because I haven't heard anything back from her yet.
