milleniumgypsy: (Marvel- Loki throwing up horns)
So I was responding to a musical post on another journal, so I thought I would put it on my journal too.

What music am I currently listening to a lot lately?

Not in any other particular order.
1. Five Finger Death Punch- Battle Born
2. Lana Del Rey - Summertime Sadness
3. The Prodigy- Poison
4. Miley Cyrus- Wrecking Ball
5. Daft Punk- Get LokiLucky
6. Twenty One Pilots- House of Gold
7. Whatever Jonny Gray is currently singing on the Voice <3
8. Portugal the Man- Purple Yellow Red and Blue
9. Sigur Rós - Festival
10. Lady Gaga- Applause
BONUS: Tom Hiddleston: The Bare Necessities or The Man in the Mirror, because those make me happy.

FRIENDS, WHAT ARE YOU LISTENING TO??

If I do this again, would anyone be interested in me figuring out how to put youtube videos in my post? n_n'

Bonus unrelated bit: Continuing my reading of classic Thor comics (which I am enjoying a lot!).
They've recently changed Loki's outfit where I am to not be the horned helmet, but the circlet with the smaller horns on the front and the wings on the sides. Unfortunetely the artist hasn't seemed to have settled on what his circlet is supposed to look like.
I am currently attempting to just pretend that Loki is shifting his outfit because lol he can do that, but I know that's not actually what's going on. Guys could you maybe try to remember from panel to panel if the band has the horns on it or not. end mini rant

Tonight I continued my male figure sculpt. I didn't take pictures though because I don't think that enough has changed to warrant a picture. What I did was sculpt more muscle on the upper leg, sculpt the kneecaps, and worked a bit on shaping the rest of the legs.

Then I snipped a bunch of wire lengths and coated them in glue for arm armatures. :3 I'll probably finish up leg and tush sculpting tomorrow, and start the arms. :3

Tomorrow is the last blind audition for the Voice! The coaches are still amusing and Shakira is still adorable. I think that Usher had one of the weaker teams until tonight when he picked up that soul singer. I feel like he'll do well! While I like him there are people I'm more excited about though. I'm looking forward to seeing how tomorrow turns out! There are almost no spots left so it should be intense!

I finished my siamese cat sculpt today. OMG! That means I have sculpted all of the animals that I set out to do for this part of the challenge! Now I need to decide if I want to paint them all next or if I want to start the human sculpts. It might make more sense to go to paint. I'll see how I feel tomorrow. :3

But for the last bit of sculpting! I attached the prebaked front legs, sculpted the shoulders and shoulder blades, attached the tail, and then textured the whole cat. After that I baked it. Unfortunately the tips of her ears got a little burned, which basically just means they are a bit discoloured. Which doesn't seem too bad since it's a siamese and I'm going to be painting the ear tips dark anyway. hehe What happened was I accidentally didn't reset the temperature alarm after venting some heat out of the stove when it got too hot (because of the way stoves heat up, they don't maintain temp, they go up higher than they need to and shut off until they get to a lower temp, and then start again). So when I looked back after a few minutes I realized the temp had gotten too high. All and all not too bad though! It's still hot so I can't really take full pictures of it until tomorrow, especially since the clay isn't fully set until after it's cooled so I don't want to mess with it.

ExpandA couple of pictures of the cat, one before texturing and a picture after baking )

In unrelated news, I was listening to The Voice tonight while I was sculpting and two of my favourite people were cut tonight. So disappointed! xP

So yesterday I was a tourist on my day off and walked around some of the tourist traps nearby. I have to say they had some really cute stuff. I did find something that I think is really cool though. In a store there was a display of cds- all by a composer named Tim Janis. Beautiful music. There are more cds there by him- I am very tempted. I love the music. ...Now that I think about it, it would have been perfect wedding music. It feels like LOTR music, but without the battle music and such that was in the soundtracks. Oh well!

New roommate moved in today. I'll post about that later.

I have a headache, but I don't know why. :/
