Your house is on fire and you can only take 3 things with you. What do you take? (I'm so fatal XD) [livejournal.com profile] jeune_fleur

Oh man, I remember last summer having to do something like this when the fire alarm was going off in our apartment building. I was in such a panic though because the cat was freaking out and we had to find the ferret. xP

I grabbed my backpack and shoved in my laptop, Scottie's netbook, my sketchbook and Thor. I'd wanted to grab a doll but I just got overwhelmed by what to choose and didn't take any. Plus I knew that Scottie would prefer if I didn't stay in a potentially burning building for stuff, and I'd seen smoke in the hall.

Ok, so I'm going to not count the ferret towards stuff because he isn't stuff. I'm also not going to count things that I wear all the time- so my wedding ring doesn't count and neither does my Loki pendant. Also I usually have my phone in my pocket. Maybe the phone is sort of cheating but work with me here you know how I aaaaaam (I had the Loki pendant and rings on when I ran out this summer, and likely would have had the phone too except I wasn't using a smartphone at the time)

My requirements for grabbing things to run out of a burning building with are that they are portable and easily accessible. Pets don't count in the easily accessible category.

I'm basing this entry on what I ended up grabbing in the heat of the moment then because that makes sense. But still only three things? That's less than what I took that time. xD

Ok, so the first thing that I'd want to take is my laptop because it's expensive and useful and full of important things. After thinking about the doll thing from before, I realized that I should have grabbed one doll- my BJD Saya. She's very special to me and also one of my most valuable items, and she would be difficult to replace. I can also upgrade grabbing Thor now that I have that I have the Phase One Marvel set- It comes with Thor and the Avengers as well as other movies and my Tesseract! It fits my requirements as it is easily portable in it's case and easy to grab.

Perhaps there are better things to grab, but that's what I thought of. n_n'

Hrm, what would you take if you could only take three things friends?

I watched Agents of SHIELD tonight. Some of my feels under a spoiler cut:
Me and Scottie can't tell if Ward is actually conflicted or not. I'm not sure though we do believe that he really has feelings for Skye.
I was so amused by the lanyard thing. xD LANYARDS WILL BE GIVEN OUT ON A CASE BY CASE BASIS. I love that actor. He's awesome. xD
I feel like there is going to be problems with Fitsimmons.
Me and Scottie were amused by the Slingshot program being a fake. This coming from Fury, the guy that used Tesseract tech to make weapons and start an alien invasion... yeaaaaah. Obviously he's not going to actually want to give up all that stuff.
Ok, so I got too tired to actually make a more coherant post about that, but still. n_n'

Eek I'm terrible at that kind of question. I don't have pets so I think I'd take my laptop, ipad and try to grab at least one of my first edition Oz books.

I really like Evil Ward, he's much more interesting than Good Ward. I think you're right and that he does have feelings for Skye which is going to throw him a bit but I don't know if that will be enough to have him help Shield.

I'm glad that I'm not the only one who's going after some part of their favourite fandom things! n_n

Evil Ward is certainly interesting, and obviously I'm not one to condemn a Marvel villian! xD It's been interesting seeing how the Evil Ward thing is going.

A laptop is definitely easier to take than a desktop computer ... I'd have a problem there!!!

A laptop is certainly easier to take than a desktop! If I had a desktop I'd probably have a backup external though that I'd take. (That's also something that I do. :3)

Let's see...what would I take...

LOKI
LOKI
LOKI

That's a tough one.

My laptop (and backup harddrive), my family, and my pets.

ehehehe! Us Loki minions have our pritories! xD When I'd taken Thor the first time I was like "I can't leave Loki behind!". xD

I'm not counting family (so Scottie) or pets (so Chaos) towards the things to bring out since they aren't things. x3 You could choose two other things to bring based on these parameters?

That...that's a good point....

I'm drawing a blank. 0_O

It's hard to choose! Seriously the only reason I had an easier time with the question was because I'd already done it IRL in recent-ish past, and then had time afterwards to think on how I might have done it better. lol

I KNOWW!

It's so hard picking three things, since you put it that way!

Date: 2014-04-17 09:24 pm (UTC)From: [identity profile] theacidqueen.livejournal.com
realistically, if i were in that situation and had sense enough to grab any physical things, i could easily grab more than 3 things lol. of course, i understand that this question is more of a get-to-know-you question than anything. so! after all that, besides my dog, the three things i'd grab are:

my amaduckeus

my majora's mask

and my aunt teresa's ashes from the top of the hutch.

I ended up taking more things too, after grabbing the pets, though still very few things. I know that I would have grabbed more except I knew that the only thing Scottie had been concerned with getting out of the apartment was me, and he really wanted to get us out where it was safe.

That's a good selection of things! The duckie is awesome. :3

Date: 2014-04-28 02:59 am (UTC)From: [identity profile] theacidqueen.livejournal.com
heehee thank you. i should dress more duckies.

You should! :D

LOL There I was thinking I would just take any important documents like insurance papers and stuff with me and leave everything else, but now I feel the need to add a couple more: my external drive, which has everything from my work and personal stuff stored, and my plush dog Luey who has been with me since I was like 9 months old. Of course, like you, I'm not counting Vilya because she's not a thing.

Date: 2014-04-28 05:24 pm (UTC)From: [identity profile] invsagoth.livejournal.com
lol, I am amused that both in this entry or when I did it IRL did that sort of stuff even occur to me to grab. xD The closest to that sort of thing are some folders in my filing cabinet (one of my folders has letters and cards from my gramma, and the other folder has letters and things like the stuff Scottie used in his proposal to me- but my filing cabinet is a bit messy atm and doesn't fit into my requirements of "easily accessible and quick to grab")- still those are sentimental papers and not "important" papers.
One of the reasons I took the computer though was because that sort of fills that requirement, it has all of our wedding photos and videos and things like that.

As I told Scottie when we were waiting outside- "Priorities, I has them!"

The external drive and plushie sound like good things to take!

lol, I have such irresponsible priorities. xD

I'd say Scottie could take care of the responsible priorities, but his only priority was me. n_n'

Interesting! Yeah, I wouldn't count pets as a thing either. They're not things, they're family!

idek, I'd probably grab my Nook, my ipod, and try to grab our family photo albums lol.

Date: 2014-04-28 05:36 pm (UTC)From: [identity profile] invsagoth.livejournal.com
They are family! :3

If I had physical photo albums I would totes want to grab them. They're all on the computer though so at least I don't have to try and get that sort of stuff out!
I'm glad I'm not the only one that is snagging electronics! xD

Wow--excellent answer! I've heard that question a lot before--it's right up there with, "What would you bring to a desert island?", seems like--but I've never seen anyone respond with, "That happened once, and here's what I did..."

*high five*

Date: 2014-04-28 05:40 pm (UTC)From: [identity profile] invsagoth.livejournal.com
ehehehe, it certainly made it easier to think of an answer! I could say "well, what did I do, and what could I do to improve on it?" Perhaps there are better things to take, but I think basing it on my actual reactions is a good way to go, and more accurate. :3

*high fives*
