What language would you like to be able to speak? arctic_comet
The first language I would say is Japanese, no question. I've taken classes but I haven't had a chance to really commit to actually learning it.
Then I would have to say elvish. It's another thing that I've noodled around with learning.

In other news, I went to the dentist today. Dentists freak me out now because of some rather poor experiences and the anxiety attacks I have are sort of ridiculous.
Though I was amused by when the dentist was like "Go to your happy place... Sandy beaches..."

This is my happy place. ehehe
But then I was like CHANNEL LOKI TANYA HE WOULDN'T LET THIS BOTHER HIM THIS IS NOTHING YOU SAY THAT HE'S YOUR SPIRIT ANIMAL CALM THE FUCK DOWN. It actually helped a lot. I'm kinda proud of that. Thank you Loki~
My face still hurts and my jaw doesn't work correctly and my gums hurt but other than that yay for being done. e_e Also, my mouth still tastes like that stuff. Ick.

I was amused that Scottie took me out for a milkshake after because I sort of didn't eat due to nerves (not that I remember to eat on a normal day, but still), and I kept feeling like I was going to swallow my tongue when I would try to drink because half of my face was still numb.

Talked to my sister today. Learned some stuffs that have been going on with the rest of my disowned family. For all those new here- that is everyone in my family except for my sister. My gramma was my Frigga and she is dead.

Loki is my spirit animal for many reasons. This is in truth how I feel about my family as well.
At first I was filled with rage. But I dealt with much of this rage this fall... So I guess it isn't quite as bad as it could have been. I mean, Odin my mother was already not my mother anymore, so it doesn't really have anything to do with me. But still.

"Family" does nothing but disappoint.

Not a fan of the dentist. xP I didn't realize how bad the dentists I'd had were until I'd gone to others. Just eesh.

Oh, that would be cool! I'd love to do that too. :D

I'm just glad that I've reconnected with my sister. :3 I have no other blood family now, but that's ok. I really am better off without them, and my real family is Scottie and the friends I've made (including here!).

I would LOVE to speak Japanese. I actually got a book with a guide to the Kanji, so I can recognize a *few* of the symbols; and when I watch Anime or Japanese horror movies, I always opt for subtitles instead of dubbing. Actually taking a proper class would probably help more.

Heh, I've never been freaked out by dentists for some reason. Which is weird, because I had some tooth trauma when I was little. (Was jumping up and down too close to a table, and jammed my two front teeth into it--baby teeth, so the new ones grew in fine, but we had to have them yanked out, and half my pictures from when I was around 4-5ish have no front teeth.)

But I will say I tend to channel either Luke Skywalker, The Joker, or Alessa Gillespie when I need to get my shit together. Depending the situation.

Sorry to hear that about your family. I think sometimes "family" isn't necessarily the people you're born with, but the people you surround yourself with who actually support and love you no matter what, whoever that turns out to be.

I took a class and was learning kanji, I wrote Scottie some letters with it too actually. x3 I always go for the subs instead of dubs unless I have not other choice. I want to hear things in their intended language!

I never used to be freaked out by dentists, surprisingly. I had a lot of work done when I was a kid that was probably unpleasant, but it still didn't really bother me. o_O I also had a couple of teeth pulled when I was a kid but even that I don't remember as being too bad.
But then stuff changed and I had some bad experiences, and that set off my anxiety problems I guess.

Aw Alessa. I channel Joker too, but now I'm more likely to channel Loki in those situations. I'm less familiar with Skywalker but that seems like a good one. :3
I usually channel Loki or Hiddles, depending on the situation. :3 (I also go for Tiny Tina from Borderlands, and Tony Stark, but Loki/Hiddles are my main ones).

Family is totes not the people you are born with. My family is Scottie and the friends I've made (including on here!). I am glad that I've reconnected with my sister, but I really am much better off without the rest of them.

My younger brother tried to learn Japanese and it didn't work out lol. He had a really hard time with it and never turned back. It is unclear if my older brother can speak/read it though. He claims he can, and my younger brother says he can, but none of us are sure because he may have just been trolling my younger brother and kept it up lol.

Ouch at the dentist! I would imagine that drinking from a straw would be uber hard when half of your mouth is numb. I always eat before I go to the dentist if I'm having work done because my mouth will be numb for hours afterward. And I'm always hungry right after I get back from the dentist and end up trying to sip yogurt two hours later lol.

I had meant to eat more of my oatmeal, but then once it was time to head out I realized I'd eaten like 4 bites of it. Oops. And when I went out to get the milkshake it was already around 5 pm, so I was hungry. lol It was awkward trying to eat anything, or suck out of the straw. It felt rather ridiculous every time I would take a drink because exactly half of my tongue was numb and seemed bound and determined to go down with the shake. lol My mouth was numb for hours afterward, and apparently I'm hard to numb so they have to use a lot.

The dentist is not fun for sure! At first I was ok with the experience that I had with this new dentist, but he did some questionable work (he actually shifted my teeth wth). Uuuuugh.

Yeah, I wasn't thrilled when I noticed he had! It doesn't do anything to me aesthetically at least (as far as I can tell) because it's all back teeth, but when I went to floss I found a bunch of space around the tooth on both sides where there hadn't been before. That's probably why the surrounding teeth and my jaw hurt for a week afterward when it shouldn't have... but doing that was completely unnecessary. :/ I think he was spending too much time making eyes at the dental assistant tbh.

I'm so sorry about your surgery! That sounds awful, I would be so angry. Dx

I almost took a Chinese course at my university but I just couldn't make it work in my schedule, but it would have been neat. There must be somewhere you can find at least online at least? It's surprising that there isn't somewhere that you can find locally though, especially if there is a Chinese population there!
