I'm so sleepy, oh my pudding. I'm going to die. But I wanted to write a bit.

I think my interview went alright. It might be silly, but I'd been RPing my AU Hiddles character on twitter during the morning and I think I ended up also channeling Hiddles into my interview as well as Loki. ehehehe

Before the interview I saw most of your encouraging comments in my email, which was shiny! Also Scottie messaged me and said "May all those you meet understand your worth, Lokidottir." which I though was absolutely amazing, you don't even know. n_n'

One thing stood out in the interview to me. I had a moment with one of the women interviewing me (there was a group of three interviewing). She'd also worked in my Abyss, but in a different capacity. The conversation that happened because of this amounted to basically laughing about how everyone in the Abyss wished me dead (everyone would be an overstatement... I hope, but it is true) and how awful and stressful and dangerous and etc it was, "and yet you're still smiling!" <-actual quote
Loki that was the plan
It's cute that you think that you think my smile is genuine.
SUCESSFUL LOKI CHANNELING YUS~
I think this is one of the reasons interviews are so stressful. Let's talk about my PTSD like it's positive. e_e
The other interviewers didn't really get it never having been there, but the first lady did and most people don't. Not that I'm very good about talking about my feelings, but still. I'm hoping that writing this out will keep the cats in check. (Apologies for this btw)

Still, even with that my day was actually pretty great. The interview otherwise wasn't too bad, and the data entry part went ridicously well. I had 15 minutes to enter as much as I could of something, and I finished in 10.

Twitter RP continues to be very enjoyable. xD Have a gratutitous gif related to today's adventures. xD
hiddles kiss
(I might do something a bit less silly talking about this later)

Also my walk home was sunny, which was amazing, and it wasn't super cold. The snow is still bad on the trails, but they finally cleared the sidewalks so I could walk home much easier.

Scottie was amazing and had a really nice dinner ready when I got home, complete with orange chocolate chip cookies! We cuddled and watched some tv- Rizzoli and Isles, Lost Girl, and the first episode of Foxy & Co.

Rizzoli and Isles was pretty cute. Sad about the end though.

The episode of Lost Girl that I watched tonight was Groundhog Fae. That episode was hilarious. pffft Vex! Dyson and Lauren! Bo and Tamsin! Beefcake dude! ehehehe I've also decided that I don't need to pick a team to be on. I just ship Bo with everyone, which seems very appropriate.

Foxy and Co was interesting. I don't like it as much as Face-Off, but I am glad that all those Face-Off people got something after the show. Especially considering only one of them had won before!

Just a quick post tonight, because it is late and I have an interview tomorrow, so I should try to not be a zombie for it. Or a so-tired-she-seems-drunk person. I'm not like, super excited for the position, but it would be more appropriate than my current one and I could use the pay increase.

Going to be channeling Loki tomorrow!
Loki smile
Loki, please grant me your silvertongue... wait that sounds dirty. But erm, that would also be true. *koffs*

In other news, watched the Voice tonight. Not terribly excited about any of them, and I thought "The Man" was an awful song choice for anyone. I already don't like the song because whenever I hear it on the radio they start off with him doing this little mini-interview "I wrote this song because REASONS and I got tired of that really fast.
I wish they hadn't relegated the "Hey Brother" song to a drive by clip. I think I would have liked it. Plus someone on twitter made a silly thing between Thor and Loki for that song, and so it amuses me. Mind you, I don't know most of the words to the actual song.

Caught up on some Lost Girl, we're a few episodes behind. I watched the one where Bo is connected to Dyson's memories. This is my favorite episode of the season so far!
I can't argue with this.

Yes please

Also highly amused by Bo!Dyson, and her reactions to ~scientific research~. (This reminded me of my twitter RP actually, eheh *koffs*) Also, when Lauren heard Bo mumbling and came over all worried and Bo was like 'bewbs'... that's totes me and Scottie is Lauren. lol

Twitter RP is going well and is very fun. Gif somewhat related to todays fun. xD
hiddles take my hand
my lady was much more enthusiastic though

Interviews

So today I have my first interview for an M.S. assistantship. Yesterday I got a call at 9 am (I was up and doing stuff at 5 am) while I was going on the exercise bike from a woman telling me that they have now received funding and would like to do an interview. So that interview is at 1 pm today. I was so excited about it that I hope I have the right position in mind, because I'd hate to start gushing about the wrong thing, ie "OMG I just love snails!!!" "WTF you're going to be researching elk/wolf interactions, what do snails have to do with it?". Not that I would gush like that, but ya'know.
I'm a little worried about it because it's not exactly in my field- I want to do fish and this is to do with birds. But since I was a general bio major it's not out of my field either. I just don't feel like I'll have the best chance when I don't have a huge background in birds outside of the classes I had that dealt with them, my personal interest/knowledge/reading/etc, and the time I've spent taking care of the 1 million types that I've had. Basically where I feel I am lacking is doing point count surveys of birds, though I don't think that would be hard to learn to do. But why wouldn't they hire an applicant that already does? I can still hope though.

I also have another interview scheduled for tomorrow, this is for a summer research position in Delaware focusing on horseshoe crabs. This one is more in my field. Like the assistantship interview, I got asked about it yesterday and I have one day to prepare for it, though that isn't so bad.

I'm also waiting on results from an interview I did last Wednesday for a salamander technician job somewhere in the south... I apply to so many places it's hard to remember exact locations for all of them. :P
