A Lagoona sleepover featuring Frankie and Ghoulia... and a cameo of Pinkie Pie. Also Face-Off ramble

So I took more pictures of my lovely new addition to the ghoul family, my W1 Lagoona with her hydration station! I took a full picture of Lagoona in the station.

I really like the stand, it's a pillar of translucent blue bubbles, which is really cool! You can use it inside of the hydration station, or you can attach it to a regular base that comes with it as well. There are other accessories that I didn't take pictures of yet, those will come later.

Then I took her outside, but I thought that I'd leave Neptuna, her pet, inside in the "water". You can see the stand inside better in this picture.

Lagoona: Hey Neptuna!

Of course, I had to bring my other Dead Tired dolls in. :3

As agentbethbonsai pointed out, the colour scheme of Neptuna is quite like Pinkie Pie! And I agree with that, so I had to take a picture of the two of them together since I have a Pinkie Pie! xD Let's pretend that I have Lagoona's fish bowl purse

I also watched the last episode of Face-Off tonight!
I was both really nervous and really excited about the anime episode. xD The teasers that were shown didn't look entirely promising. I liked the second place anime girl makeup (I mean it had issues, but I think she did a decent job), but I also really liked the winning look. The koi makeup was really outside the box, but it was clearly the nicest thing and I could also see it being able to show in an anime.
I can't say that I agreed with them using their special save for the plant mad scientist. I really had expected them to use it for an accident or something- like in the previous season where one of the artists had a mold fall on their hand and so they lost time while they were hurt, or when the vetern fabricator (his name isn't coming to me mrpgh) sculpted a huge body thing that locked up and was un-useable. I wasn't expecting them to let just someone with poor time management and a weak concept for the challenge through, but I suppose they can't hang on to that save forever either. Ah well.
Now it is time for bed though!

Ending with Hiddles being an adorable dork in a bathtub, because it is vaguely related and I do what I want. xD

I actually almost got Lagoona as my first doll partly because of that, it was a toss up between her and Frankie (with her heterochromia!). I decided on Frankie first, but part of that was because I was having her shipped out to my field deployment and I thought it would be easier to keep Frankies hair in order. xD

I still have quite a few freckles too but the ones on my face have faded over time it makes me sad. I need to spend a lot of time outside onces summer gets here!

On the one hand, I was surprised that they used the save for that particular makeup. On the other hand, that guy (whose name I can't remember, lol) has done such good work in the past, as has Oscar (I think that's his name, anyway) so I can see why they wanted to give them both a second chance.

I love that you were able to get an older MH set. :) Second-hand dolls are sometimes the best dolls, and I've had really good luck so far buying the ghouls used. :D

It's so bad, I can't remember anyone's name this season. I'm normally not great with names when I'm first introduced to someone (my best friend growing up always said "She's great! Just don't expect her to remember your name or give you directions anywhere", which is true on both counts).

I wasn't surprised that they wanted to save him because he had done promising work, I was surprised at the reason they used for it. I guess I'd just been expecting that to be used for more extenuating circumstances.

I'm super excited that I was able to get her and the set! I've had really good lucking buying the ghouls used too actually! :3 Which is good since some of the dolls that I've wanted I've never seen in stores, lol.

ehehehe! One of the fun things about the Monster High ghouls are all the different skin colours. Lagoona is the daughter of the sea monster, so her skin colour is actually healthy? xD Frankie and Ghoulia are probably less healthy lol (daughter of Frankienstien and a zombie, lol).

Hrm... I'm going to guess unintentionally exploding ovaries. xD

More seriously though, it was a photoshoot for 1883 magazine. n_n

I'm kind of surprised that you didn't have Neptuna or the fishbowl purse because those came with the first set of MH dolls that came out and I thought you had all of those. I only have three MH dolls but one of them is Lagoona and it comes with Neptuna and the bowl.

Oh, I don't have all of the first wave dolls actually! I didn't start collecting when they first came out, I actually had tried to hold off originally. xD I remember looking at them and being like "They're cute but I shouldn't...", but then when I was deployed in the field I decided I might hate the world less if I had something fun to do. There was no way I could take a bjd out for pictures, but I could take out a Monster High (much easier to replace if something happened!). And that was that lol.
Funnily enough the first doll I was looking to get was either the signature Lagoona or the Gloom Beach Frankie. I ended up going with Frankie because her hair looked easier to keep nice, and I adore heterochromia. xD I figured I could get Lagoona when I got home (that didn't happen though lol).

It's awesome that you have her though! What are your other two dolls? :3

I have the... signature, you call them? Clawdeen and Frankie Stein. I used to have a party version of Clawdeen and Nefera but I gifted them to my cousin. While I do like the dolls, I decided I already collect too many things, plus, I have no space to keep a collection of dolls, so I passed on it and only kept those three.

Oh, that's awesome! I have the first signature Frankie (that was a surprise find that I'm still happy I was able to snag), but not Clawdeen. Oh that's neat that you had Nefera! I saw a Nefera once and thought I'd get her later, that wasn't my best plan since that was the last time I did see her. lol :P

I understand trying to keep collections in check! I don't really collect that much atm outside of the dolls, with the exception of comics/movies/video games. xD I even am sticking mostly to MH dolls specifically, even though I find other dolls interesting.

Oh wow! I can see why you wouldn't want to start in on a new collection! You have so many fun things! :D I especially love the dragons!

Also I had to squee at the Simba and Bambi figures, I totes had those as a kid. xD And I loved the Kurt figure. <3

I love your display cases. xD Right now I don't have the best display area for them, they're currently being displayed on top of a couple of our shelves. I don't mind how they're displayed, and it's kind of fun, but it can be kinda unruly, and I'm nervous about when we get another cat. I had the same display when we had our kitty, but he was totally a ground cat and just wasn't at all interested in being up high, and that was really lucky I think. He was more dog than cat most of the time. lol
