So tonight I continued sculpting one of the 2nd batch of heads. I really like how the eyes aren't as pushed in, that makes me certain that I should pull the eyes back out of that first female head because I'm actually able to do something more like I want to with them properly placed. :P
I did some more work on her nose and the bridge of her nose, sculpted her brows, worked a bit on her cheeks, totally re-sculpted the lower half of her face since the chin was bigger than I wanted, completely re-sculpted her mouth, and sculpted the eyes. She's not done but she is definitely much better! I actually feel like I'm getting somewhere now, lol. I think besides the odd colour eyes (which can't be fixed until painting), she's not even all that creepy anymore!

Our diet is still coming along and I've pulled out the Wii balance board! I hadn't been playing it because our poor Wii is dying and I didn't want to use it more than necessary until we could figure out what we're going to do to replace it. We've finally found out that we can transfer our virtual console games to the Wii U, so when we can afford to get one that's totally what we're going to do. Of course, our Wii is still dying, but it's good to have a plan. I like Wii Fit, and I can use it as a scale so I can track my progress. xD
Here's today's menu, minus a couple of cheese sticks as snacks.

This was an omelet with mozzarella cheese, asparagus spears, and turkey sausage! Very tasty! :D This was after I took a bit so you could see some of the filling.

Preview of dinner! Don't mind the splashes on the stove from the bubbling sauce! I wipe that up after dinner. n_n'

A salad to go with dinner.

One of the grilled chicken pieces finished in the tomato sauce that Scottie had made and topped with mozzarella, plus stir fry veggies in a balsamic vinegar sauce!
This really doesn't feel like dieting, though we do crave sugar! Scottie drinks regular soda so he's actually craving it more often then me. We're drinking diet soda that we make at home with our Sodastream. It's nice because you can buy the syrup to add and it's made with Splenda, not aspertame, so it won't give Scottie migraines! He still doesn't like diet soda, but it helps his soda cravings anyway. n_n'
And a bonus, the kitty decided to help Scottie play the PS3! He decided that he didn't need to sit in Scotties lap, using his arms and chest as a shelf would do. He looks so regal in this pic lol.

Date: 2013-01-22 06:08 pm (UTC)From:The Sodastream is awesome, we've had it for about 2 or 3 years now! I prefer it to regular soda since it is sweetened with Splenda instead of aspertame. That stuff Scottie can't even drink because it gives him migraines! There are a lot of different flavor syrups to choose from, and you can also get little glass bottles of fruit oils to add to the water to make fruit flavored sparkling water! I do that a lot too. The regular syrups are also lower calorie than normal regular sodas and use no high fructose corn syrup (which I know for a fact is bad since I know biochem!). It's way more cost effective than buying regular soda too! The bottles of syrup last quite a while, as do the oil bottles. The CO2 canisters also last a long time, and you get a deal on getting more by bringing in your old canister, and you get a cheaper refill price. Everywhere that we've been that sells Sodastream stuff offers that service.
You can also make your own syrup! We've done that a few times, but normally we just get the premade stuff.
If you go somewhere that sells it you can also probably ask for a demo and try a couple of flavors to see if you like it. That's what we did!
I would totally recommend it! Since we've bought it I haven't bought soda unless we were going out to eat. xD

Date: 2013-01-22 07:24 pm (UTC)From:You make the soda a liter (I think?) at a time! You get a really nice bottle with the system. We bought an extra to go with it so we could have a cold bottle of water in the fridge to put stuff in when we finish a bottle. :D

Date: 2013-01-22 05:15 pm (UTC)From:I've been following a similar eating plan for the last four months and it hasn't felt like dieting either. I have a small, sweet snack with my after lunch and dinner coffee because I'd binge otherwise.
Those stir fry veggies look wonderful. Do you have a recipe for the sauce?

Date: 2013-01-22 05:55 pm (UTC)From:The small sweet snack is a good idea! We're able to use Splenda for sweetening things, and an allowed dessert is Splenda sweetened ricotta with vanilla, lime zest, or other no calorie flavorings. It's actually really, really good!
Scottie's been posting the recipes in my entries as a coment (he's
I don't have a recipe for the sauce though, it actually came with the stir fry, I guess they come in little frozen pieces mixed in with the veggies! That isn't the norm for us though, we nearly always make our own sauces. xD
