Tonight I worked a little more on the tail, but to really work on that and the mane I needed to bake the body so that I can safely test things out. :3 I'm a little concerned by the weight of the tail that I have right now, if it is too heavy I'll have to try something slightly different. Hopefully that won't be necessary though!
I changed up how I dealt with keeping the legs positioned correctly- before I had used wire to sort of hold foil balls in place. I decided to try and just keep the feet apart with wire. I had a bunch of scrap wire that had been holding my roll of chicken wire together that Scottie suggested that I could use (I'd asked him if he had any scrap wire from his jewelry making). I'd forgotten about it, but that worked perfectly!
Jinafire and Lala!Pony are visiting before he goes in the oven.
What's up with the wire, is he going to try to escape?

So now I'll be able to work on the rest of the pony tomorrow. I just pulled him out of the oven and things are looking good!
In other news, we woke up this morning to freezing rain. Not the most exciting thing! But it wasn't super bad this morning when Scottie dropped me off for work. I always walk home from work, so I was glad that he wouldn't have to try and navigate the roads later in the day. I was looking at my twitter and listening to the radio, and there were all sorts of accident reports and basically everyone was saying "if you can leave work early, or work from home today, you should totally do that. STAY HOME IF YOU DON'T NEED TO GO OUT!"
I was like "well, at least I'm not driving! I just have to not get hit by cars on my way to the trail, and attempt to not fall on my face".
A little after noon an email went out to everyone at the office that we were going to be dismissed early for saftey reasons. That was exciting! I'll still get paid for the day like usual, but I got to go home just a bit after lunch. It was so nice to walk home in daylight instead of the dark. Also, instead of being below zero it was I think in the low 20s. Much more comfortable! Because of both of these things, even though everything was icy and hazardous for walking, it was still a nicer walk than I'd had all week. lol

I felt like a kid on a snow day. xD
So sleepy...
