Top five favorite animals and why.
What animal if it were possible to tame or have any creature as a pet would you choose that is living, extinct and mythological?

I don't have a ton of time to get tooooo far in detail about why I love specific animals atm, but I'll talk a little bit about it.

Ok, top five favourite animals! In no particular order because I do what I want.
1) Cuttlefish
I love cephalopods, and cuttlefish are my favorite. I actually wanted to study their behavior, look into language. They are adorable and intelligent and interesting. There is actually a whole lot of stuff that makes them neat that I don't have time to write about. n_n'
2) Horses
I have always loved horses! I know they can be the trolls of the barnyard, but they are beautiful and I miss being able to interact with them. I grew up around horses actually because a friend of the family had them and I visited them and helped out with them growing up. One day I will have a horse of my own.
My dream horse would be an arabian.
3) Cats
Cats do what they waaaaant. And are adorable. I probably don't need to go into great detail. xD My favourite breed of pet kitty is the Maine Coon. My favourite wild cat is the cheetah. :3
4) Dogs
I have always been a dog person and I get along very well with them. My old boss at remote field camp was always shocked that I was able to calm the half wild dogs that would try to attack him I am the dog whisperer~. I also love wolves. I am not good at narrowing things down.
5) Dolphins
I have to pick a marine mammal, and I love dolphins. I love intelligent animals, they are interesting to me. :3
Maybe I should have said orcas, they are the wolves of the sea and that's also interesting to me.

Five are so few... lol. There are so many more and I wasn't terribly good at narrowing things down as it was. xD

What animal would I have as a pet if I could have any animal, mythological allowed.
Loki's bbs do not count because they are not pets ODIN STOP RIDING YOUR GRANDSON INTO BATTLE GEEZ ruuuude~

Hrm what to pick... Well that's not even a question. xD

I would say a dragon! I would like to raise the dragon, eventually be able to ride it, and have the ability to lay waste to my enemies.

The coolest animal that I've ever gotten to interact with has without question been my little bb Piping Plovers. While they might not be cool exactly I loved them very much, and the longer I worked with them the more I loved them. I was tasked with protecting them and protect them I did. And I have given my best presentations on them, and talked to complete strangers about what they were doing wrong without any anxiety, and watched them from egg to fledgling birds.

Cuttlefish are so cute though! And they really are amazing animals. I've also seen them described as acting like puppies. :3 One day I still would like to do research involving them.

Piping Plovers really are the cutest things. I love them! *-*

My birds eat cuttlefish bones for the calcium, but I'll admit I've never really looked into the species. I've found the bones on the shore in Brighton, England though! It made me happy to know my birds aren't robbing the species--cuttlebones are collected from beaches and sterilized for avian use.

I've given my birds cuttlefish bones too, and I'm glad they can just be collected for use. I do know that cuttlefish can be eaten by people, I would hope that the cuttlebones could be collected from there as well.

OMG! The piping plovers are soooo freaking cute!!!! There are a few cool animals I've gotten to be around and interact with, thanks to highschool internships :) I got licked by a bison at the zoo I was interning at

Bison are fun. I should dig up the picture I have of me in front of a bison herd. xD

camels(https://scontent-a-dfw.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash2/t1.0-9/207165_10150528031175247_5730876_n.jpg (12th grade me lol),got to feed and hug sea lions and make him do a trick for a fish, got to be near lions and give them play toys the zoo was trying to get the male and female to mate, clouded leopard babies that my friends mom who was a zoo keeper got to bring home until they were old enough to stay over night at the zoo alone since their mom wouldn't care for them(i wish i had pics, they were sooo cute and soft and playful)um reindeer, guanaco, coatimundi, fed Humboldt Penguins(also called peruvian) Off the top of my head those are what I remember that stick out the most.

*In highschool I did 4 shadow days in 11th grade to figure out where I wanted to intern in 12th grade. I shadowed people at the niagara falls aquarium, buffalo zoo, a pet store and a vets office(I got to watch several surgeries, it was neat) I ended up doing an 80-90 hour internship at the zoo where I was working with the hooved animals. guanacos are mean. zebra are super skittsh, one would sometimes let you get close but, the camels I adored. they were so sweet and would come and lie their heads on my shoulder for hugs. I almost cried when I left because I loved them so much. The pic is me with Pebbles. She was the younger one, her moms name was Yvonne.


I almost forgot the serval! friends mom in 8th grade (same zookeeper one)brought one in to show our science class. it was awesome

The Piping Plovers are so adorable!

I had a LJ friend who worked at an aquarium and loved the cuttlefish best of all.

I'm afraid of most reptiles but I think I would love a tiny dragon like the one in my icon.

OMG those plovers, my heart just melted <3 But then I am a bird lady at heart so I am a little biased. ;)
