So a few things today! Sculpting challenge, an ask me anything meme answer, and the Marvel Lego game!

First off, the question:
If you had to move out and would only be allowed to take 5 dolls with you.... which ones would you take? [livejournal.com profile] jeune_fleur

lol, this is evil. I am awful at chosing these sorts of things! Well, first off I have to say that this is just including Monster Highs? If it includes all dolls, then of course the number one doll to take would be my single BJD, my Elfdoll Soah.

Then I have to look at my dolls and I suppose see which ones would be the most difficult to replace. So of course I have to keep my Dawn of the Dance Lagoona that I'd posted a couple of days ago in this meme, and also my other most prized doll- my Dawn of the Dance Ghoulia (I'd gotten both of these dolls at the store on the same day actually, which was so lucky!). I didn't take a picture of the Ghoulia, but she's also still in box.

Assuming this was only counting Monster Highs, that only left me with three spots. Of course I have to pick Cupid. Then I had to pick my custom Frankie (not done by me but by a different artist) because that is truly one of a kind and so it wouldn't be possible to replace her. That left me with only one slot. Eesh! I decided on my first wave signature Ghoulia because I love her but there were so many dolls I wanted to choose. lol

I took some pictures of Saya with the three loose ghouls. :3

Soah and the ghouls
Saya: Hello little ones...
Ghoulia: Grrrrraaaaah?
Cupid: And who are you calling little?

Soah and Cupid
Saya: You cannot fly with your wings?

Soah and my custom Frankie
Frankie: Helloooo! *flails*
Saya: Calm down little ghoul!

Lets go Ghoulia
Ghoulia: Uuuuurrrgh
Saya: Little ghoul, I do not understand this language you speak?

I'm a day behind on my posts, oops. I will post my actual question for today tomorrow instead because I don't have a question on that day, and then I'll be back on track. :3

In other news, I have been working on my Pony!Loki armour again! I have now done all of the leg armour, it just needs battle scarring and a way to attach it, and then it can be baked. I also am working on a chest piece, and it is taking longer than you would imagine to make it smooth. I also want to get on my regular Loki sculpt again very soon. I also have ideas for a Sleipnir sculpt, and other Loki things... I try to get my muse to let me focus but my muse does what he wants. ehehehe xD
Loki ehehehe at stark
Which is fine with me~

The Marvel Lego game is SO MUCH FUN. It is the best Lego game that I have ever played. So many awesome references for me! Also, there is a sandbox aspect to the game that I haven't had playing earlier titles. It's amazing. xD And of course Loki keeps showing up and all the squee. x3

Saya is an Elfdoll Soah asian bjd. :3 Elfdoll is the company (small) and Soah that specific doll head. (I don't know how much you know about bjds. n_n')

I know! It's so funny taking pictures of her with the Monster Highs.

She's 60 cm, a 1/3 scale doll. I've been in the BJD world for quite a few years now, even though I just have the one doll.
Snagged select bits from wikipedia since I don't know where to start lol:
"Modern Asian BJDs are intended for adult collectors and customizers and range in price from US$100 to over US$1000. Their body elements are cast in polyurethane resin and held together by thick elastic cords, making them fully articulated and highly poseable. BJDs tend to follow a distinctly Asian view in their aesthetics, but the designs are diverse and range from highly anime-inspired to hyper-realistic.
BJDs are readily customizable. Wigs and eyes are easy to remove and replace, as well as heads, hands, and feet.
BJDs are produced by anything from single-person outfits on a hobby level, to incorporated multinationals. Hobby artists in Asia, particularly Japan, and the West, particularly USA and Australia, create and sell their own dolls. In Asia there is a wide variety of companies making BJDs, most based in South Korea.
Elfdoll is a subsidiary of the Korean company Artmaze. Elfdoll are created by the sculptor Rainman and a team of artisans."

Sorry for the TL;DR, but in case you were curious there's some BJD infos.

I really want to sculpt one of my own- I'd actually started one and got pretty far into it but then I started grad school and didn't finish. It's something that's further along in my sculpting challenge to myself- though I get side tracked by things like inspiration for ponies and such. xD

They really are! I certainly have a few sculpts on my wishlist from different artists/companies. I definitely want to get another BJD someday. (Or a few more, ehehehe)

I love being mean 8D. And I meant all your dolls :3 Sorry, I should have been clear absdbafaf. I just hate choosing things as well! Lately, since the idea of moving somewhere else is pretty much in my mind everyday since the SHINee concert, I've been thinking of the clothes I'd take with me and damn, it's so hard XD.
