milleniumgypsy: (Marvel- Loki throwing up horns)
So I finally watched Captain America! I have had the movie since Scottie got me the special Avengers box set for our anniversary this last November, and I really wanted to get all the movies watched that I've missed. That's one of the reasons that I wanted the box originally! I have this erm... tendency though to either put in the Avengers or Thor though for the 1000000000th time though when I go to grab a movie out of that box. No idea why. *koff*
ALL THE LOKIS
What was I doing again?

But I really did want to watch Cap's origin story, he's the only one I haven't seen yet! Plus ya'know if I do want to see the Winter Soldier in the theater, I'll want to have watched the first movie.

So here's how I felt after watching the movie:
cap right in the feels
The poor bb. T_T

Something neat I saw, Jenna Coleman (Clara on Dr Who) had a small part! Scottie was reading in the bedroom (he'd seen the movie before, and had a headache and so wanted to lie down) and he heard my fangirl squee when she came on. xD
I also thought it was awesome that they had Hugo Weaving as Red Skull. I told Scottie that I was excited that they had Agent Elrond, because I'm a dork.

More specific things under a spoiler cut:

I had to squee at seeing the tesseract, the Yggdrasil mural where it was hidden, and also at the end where they showed Asgard space. xD

The part where little Steve threw himself on the grenade at training camp? Aw, the bb. I think that's a good scene to show his character.

I had to laugh at "Do you two... fondue?" xD I was talking to that scene to Scottie after regarding the different Starks, but he didn't quite remember the reference. He was like fondue? And I was like well, we fondue, and then he was like "Well, I am Fond Oh You" and it was really cute. xD

Then of course there's Bucky.
bucky glance
I couldn't help but think that writers really like to throw characters from high places (Loki, Bucky, Sherlock.....)
bucky fall
Poor cap...

And of course the end of the movie also hurt my heart. "I had a date." Just, ow my feels. T_T

I'm really happy that I've watched that now so Cap can be one of my Marvel bbs properly.
captain-america-vs-loki-o
Of course Loki is still my bb 1000000%

I feel a bit spoiled as I didn't feel like there was any eye candy in that movie for me though (besides the little bit with Clara).
Cap!Loki costume is a bit much
Well ok now that I can certainly get behind xD

I have more things to post about, but I'll have to talk about them later! This weekend was the start of Fur Rondy, a winter festival that coincides with the Iditarod here, and we went out to enjoy some of the stuffs!

This post is lacking in Bucky Barnes :P

I watched Captain America last too so I missed a lot of stuff in the other movies because of it. But it's a great movie. Makes you appreciate Steven even more.

It is! I totally meant to include him. Now all I can think of is this scene:
Image
I'm invisible. I'm... I'm turning into you.
Eeeee sorry Bucky!

I'll have to edit him in now. xD (Edit: he's in there now lol)

I'm glad I'm not the only one! It is a rather important movie too, though they do a really good job of making things stand alone. :3 Steve is a really good guy, and this movie really does make me feel for him.

I watched Captain America a while ago. I thought that it was so bad that I wish I could have unwatched the movie lmao. At least Chris Evans looked great after the CGI of doom was finally over.

Aw, I'm sorry that you disliked it so much! It's not my favorite, but I did enjoy it. n_n' There are of course some superhero movies that I haven't seen that might get that reaction from me, but I think the only one that I have seen that I've ever wanted to unwatch was Kick-Ass.

I was happy when Chris Evens was back to his regular size but only because that was what I expected him to look like, it's just not fanservice for me. lol

I liked Kick-Ass, but it wasn't AMAZING like everyone was making it sound. I also wouldn't watch it again lol. I have yet to see Iron Man. But yeah, I'm glad that you enjoyed Captain America. The sequel looks like it's going to be good though!

lol, ikr? That CGI fail was hilarious. It's like they pasted his head on someone who was really tiny, but tried to make his head smaller and it just looked like a weird giant bowling pin.

Oh man, that gif with Loki in Cap's suit! I watched that scene when working in Thor 2 and couldn't stop laughing. I didn't know the scene was made available, maybe as part of an extra in the Blu-Ray?

IT IS AMAZING! xD The scene is in the special features of the bluray, they had promised it to us pretty early actually, I'd been looking forward to it! :D

I couldn't help but include it in this post, ehehehe. n_n'

Ahhh, Cap is my favourite! Not sure I can even cope with Winter Soldier, so many feels...

Ooooh you must be really excited then! :D Are you going to go to any special showings?

Date: 2014-02-25 09:04 am (UTC)From: [identity profile] kitrinlu.livejournal.com
Sadly, probably not. I can't decide if I want to watch it on the big screen (because awesome), or if I want to wait and watch it at home so I can shout things at the characters XD

You should see it on the big screen!
I tried really hard to not be too vocal when I was at the Thor marathon, but I wasn't entirely successful at being quiet lol. Scottie said he was getting fangirl sounds in stereo because the girls on the other side of him would make the same sort of sad sounds whenever something bad happened to Loki that I did, or squees whenever something good happened with Loki. lol But I didn't notice the noise that anyone else was making, just a lot of excitement! It was so much fun, it's one of my favorite days ever and I am so glad that I was able to go! :D

Plus it's so hard to avoid spoilers. I could barely avoid the spoilers from the movie opening first in other countries, and that was just a week! lol

Lol, I had that with a midnight screening of Return of the King. I sat next to a couple of teenage boys who spent the whole movie cheering for Sam, it was adorable <3

That's a good point about spoilers, too. Hm, I think you've convinced me :)

Awww that is so cute! :D That sort of stuff is just really fun. I'm always like 'I have found my people~' xD

ehehehe, yay! I do hope that you're able to go!

You always have the best gifs!
