milleniumgypsy: (Marvel Loki frustrated)
Tonight I finished up my Loki pony sculpt, and now he's currently in the oven. Next I'll have to figure out the mane and tail (which I have plans for), then painting and costuming! I'm looking forward to making him a helmet especially. xD

"I really can bake it!" "Nooo"
Why won't you let me bake him? I totally can!
Nuuuuuu

timer goes off
I just pulled him out of the oven, I saw that he'd shifted during baking that caused his left ear got kind of smushed. While attempting to see how bad it was I broke it off. Graaaaah.
loki really

I'm not going to be able to do anything to fix it until tomorrow since he's currently still super hot.

Aw, suckfest. :( Poor Loki's ear. We knew it well.

Luckily I was able to sculpt it back on without too much trouble, so it turned out alright!

Now I'm thinking of Loki reattaching his head, and being like 'pfft, you thought an ear would trouble me?' ehehehe

He looks so great! That's so frustrating when everything is going so well and something tiny breaks. I'm sure it'll fix just fine and it'll give him character. Loki is all about character :)

Aw, thank you! I was able to fix it happily without too much trouble, so things turned out alright. :3
And Loki is certainly about character! :D

Nooooo! He looks amazing in this pic though, hopefully the ear will be easily fixed.

Thank you! :3 I'm glad that you like him! :D
Luckily I was able to sculpt the ear back on without too much trouble.
In hindsight I'm glad the ear broke off while it was still warm, it's fragile when it's fresh out of the oven, and since it baked bent I did need to remove it to resculpt at any rate.
