TOMORROW IS THE DAY I GET TO SEE LOKI THE DARK WORLD! *fangirl screaming*


And I'm not just going to see the new movie! I'm going to the marathon of course! IT'S GOING TO BE SO AMAZING I'M GOING TO DIE BUT IN THE BEST WAY.


I actually smooshed my schedule around so that I could go to the marathon, it starts at 3 and I'm normally still at work then. I almost took the day off (THIS IS A BIG DEAL FOR ME ALRIGHT??) but I decided to not. Of course, this week I started getting hassled about taking time off because apparently my union says we need to take 5 days off a year (I accrue leave but I only use it to cash out to supplement my not terribly substantial income) and I've only taken 2 days off so far this year because I was sick last December. I could have taken the day off and dealt with at least some of that.
BUT I DIGRESS.
I haven't been this excited to see a movie since Return of the King! I watched the extended editions of Fellowship and Two Towers before heading out to the opening. xD There have been movies I've been excited about, but this would be the last time I was this excited.
This is like, Christmas for me! (erm, at least Christmas feels that I should have lol)

I'm going to see Thor, then The Avengers, and then Thor The Dark World at it's first showing!
They're all going to be in 3D, which will be interesting because I haven't seen either of the other two in 3D before! I'm going to take premptive pain meds to make sure I don't get a headache. n_n'
Because of the truck repairs, it looked like I was going solo because we could swing one set of tickets but not for both of us. Scottie surprised me yesterday though and told me that we were able to get two sets of tickets after all! He was going to surprise me at the theatre but he couldn't keep it in that long. Because he knew it would make me happy and he gets squees, and it seems silly to wait. xD

He said that while he's excited to see the movie, he's more excited about being around me while I'm exploding with excited feels. xD

Scottie has also been working on a little something for me! You can't see it very well in this picture, but he did a viking knit band out of brass wire, and he has brass pieces that I put together in Inkscape based on kid Loki's circlet. He's so amazing! <3


Now time for bed so I can be awake for work and then like 8 hours of amazingness!

I absolutely love - LOVE - Norse mythology (my handle online and in video games is always either Freki, Freki-and-Geri, or Skoll-Eat-Sol), but I've been hesitant to delve too deep into the Marvel world based on it. I have to ask... do the movies based on the comics include any of the great wolves in Norse mythology? Freki and Geri? Skoll and Hati? Fenris?

Skoll and Hati I can understand leaving out. But my head would explode if they left out Fenris (Loki's child) and Freki and Geri (Odin's companions).

There haven't been any of the wolves unfortunetly! I would especially love to see Fernis though. I have seen Fernis in the Marvel comics, so I don't think it's impossible for them to come to the movies?

Odin has at least been shown interacting with Huginn and Muninn, and Sleipnir has also had a cameo.

Congrats on getting two sets of tickets. I know how economically hard it is to swing movie tickets today. My boyfriend and I are big batman fans and we almost didn't go see the Dark Knight Rises because he had been laid off from his job. Thankfully, I worked some over time at the job I had at the time and surprised him. It was super worth it. :)

We usually wait for movies to hit the cheap theatre or we snag movies from RedBox because it is expensive, but I had to go for the opening of Loki! <3

Honestly, I would *love* to watch Thor with you for the same reason Scottie does. It's a lot more fun to watch movies with people who understand fangirling :p

The movie was released last week here, and with luck I'll watch it next weekend with my friends E and Ma, who are my only "fangirling friends". Although the plot itself is known to me, the version I watch has most special effects incomplete and I always turn down the background music to hear the dialogue better, so it's still a surprise to me when I watch it.

It was funny, Scottie said that I should have been sitting next to the girls that were on the other side of him. When Loki appeared, he ended up with squeeing in stereo, and if something bad happened to Loki he had "nuuuuuuuuu"s in stereo too. lol

I hope you get to go see it with your friends! It totally makes sense to be excited about seeing the movie in it's finished form. It's really amazing, I hope you enjoy everything! :D

I did my own marathon, haha, in that a few days before seeing Thor: The Dark World, I re-watched Thor and Avengers with my dad. I'm excited to see Thor: The Dark World for a second time ASAP.

If there wasn't the marathon at the theatre I'd totally have at least watched the movies before going (it was actually what I'd been planning on doing)! I was so excited though when I learned about the theatre event though! I can't wait to see the movie again, I'm going to at least watch it again in the regular theatre for my birthday. Once it hits the cheap theatre I swear I'm like going to move in. ehehehe
