New additions to the family

Tonight Scottie and I stopped by Petco because we were avoiding rush hour.

Then this happened.



BABY BETTAS YOU GUYS. They're so cute lol. They were also really, really cheap! xD

I'm going to bring the light blue/white one to work with me, and the purple/dark blue one is going to be Scottie's fish. :3 We have a tank here for the little guy here at home.


The tank is different now, that was like the second day that I had them. There are live plants and a filter in the tank now. The dark blue and red betta is the one that passed away this spring. The iridescent fish is now hanging out by himself in the tank (the divider is removable).

I have a separate bowl at work that I'm going to keep the baby in rather than the tank until it (not sure if it's a girl or a boy yet) gets bigger.

In other news, the last couple of days has been super stressful and the only sculpting I've done has been to make a tail armature for the pony and one of the facial mods I'd mentioned. More stuffs tomorrow, I have to get to sleep though. n_n'

I hadn't either! I actually tried raising baby bettas before, but the mama betta ate them before I realized they'd hatched. heh, silly fish.

I was super excited to see the babies in the store though! I'd only ever seen full grown bettas for sale before now.

lol, we learned that the older fish eat the baby fish when one of our fish had babies once. We got up one morning and there were a bunch of little baby fish and we were like WOAH! It was really neat. Then the adult fish slowly ate majority of the babies. I guess it's one of those things that you learn when it happens XD

Same here! Whenever I've seen bettas for sale they've always been fully grown and usually look like pissed off little fishies lol.

I love betta fish! They are so pretty. I had one for a called Swishy Tail. He was gorgeous. We did the vase with the lily in top. Congrats on the new pets!

I first noticed the baby bettas at petco around New Years but I haven't bought one yet. Congrats on yours. I'll be interested to know if you get a boy or a girl.

Baby bettas! ♥ So adorbs! My roommate got one, and it turned out to be a pale colored female, but I have a little lady betta with awfully vibrant coloring so who knows!

It's so fun watching them grow~
