I got a callback about the sea lion job, I didn't get it. He apologized and said that they went with someone who had more marine mammal experience than me. I'm sad, but I still have the other interview coming up. That one also has shorebird stuff, which should give me an edge because I have done a lot with shorebirds. So here's hoping.

Aw, well at least they were kind enough to call you back to let you know. So many places just leave people hanging. I had a boss who told me not to call people back because it was a "waste of money and time" to make the call.

Yeah, it's really lame when people don't get contacted back. The guy I talked to was really nice about it, but I did understand. Fish & Game is good about that sort of thing, but other so many other jobs just left me hanging, especially early in my career. xP

That's really lame that your old boss wouldn't call people back because it was a waste of time and money! It's not like people looking for employment need to know if they're going to get a job or not. *rolls eyes*
