Random randomness
Jan. 14th, 2012 08:04 pmWe've been getting piled with snow lately, and today I was pleasantly surprised to see a clear sunny day! Me and Scottie decided to go do some grocery shopping. We even have a block heater for the car and it was still so cold that it wouldn't even start. I checked the temperature and it was -9 degrees F, which isn't really surprising for January here. Out of curiosity I looked at the weather for the place that I work at in the summer and they were -27 degrees F. Cold everywhere here!
Our apartment was even cold, we were bundled up all day with the heat up and they just couldn't keep up!
I'm going to try to do some sculpting on my dog tonight! It's certainly slower going now that I'm working again, but I am so happy to be working! I actually had an interview for a permanent Fish & Game office job that my current supervisor forwarded to me. He seems to think that I'd be a good fit, so hopefully I get it! It would make it so I wouldn't have to go back to Pilot this summer, and that would be a good thing! It would certainly be better on my physically. Plus if I had a permanent job I wouldn't have to worry about funding running out on my current position earlier than I expect, and I wouldn't have to worry about being unemployed again after the summer season. The main downside is I'd then be spending more time in Alaska since it's not a temporary job, but we'd figure that out.
