Rent was due yesterday and I don't have it. ($400 short)

My apartment is owned by a company that rents apartments all over this town and is like negotiating with a corporation.

One day late on rent and they served me an eviction notice if I don't pay within 10 days, but my first paycheck won't be in by then and they don't do payday advances. :(
