So today I continued sculpting the bear. The legs were less straight forward than I initially hoped, so I won't be 100% finished tonight. The leg armature was being difficult, but eventually I got it working. I took a picture of the body standing on tope of the wire armature legs. I said it was a Spider-Bear. I then started singing the Spider-Pig song from the Simpsons, replacing Pig with Bear because hey, it's a Spider-Bear. It looked really funny. xP
Also the bear looked so strange after I added the lower legs but before I added the shoulders and hindquarters! I think the next bear I make I'm going to shorten the body a bit for, I think that would look nicer. I think it's fine though.
Tomorrow I'm going to do a bit more finishing on the legs and then sculpt on fur. I'll try to start the dog tomorrow, but I do know that I have a bunch of stressful responsible things to do tomorrow so finishing the bear might be the only thing I get to. But I don't think that's a terrible thing!
I actually probably would have finished tonight except I did another side craft project! I made an Admiral Ackbar snowflake! I printed out other Star Wars snowflakes to make later, but I wanted to surprise Scottie with one. I was printing them out and he asked what I was doing. I said it was a surprise, and then he was all curious. I decided to do the Ackbar one first, because after I made it I gave it to him and he said "It's a-" and I said "TRAP!". lol, I am a dork. He was amused though. hehe I got the pattern from this site, so if you want to make your very own Star Wars snowflakes, you can go to that site and print them off for yourself. Be warned that it might take you longer than you think because you'll need an exacto knife or something to cut out eyes and such. Of course, I've never done the cutout snowflake thing before in my life so maybe it's always been this complicated. lol
