Ehehe... Still behind. n_n' But the very end of the month has free days, so if I answer a couple now I'm only one behind. :3

Did you have a nickname as a child? [livejournal.com profile] arctic_comet
I was nicknamed Flipper or Twinkle Toes I think when I was really small. Flipper because my socks were always falling off but I never bothered to pull them up, Twinkle Toes because I ran everywhere on tip-toe. I think that also got me Luigi.

Do you believe in the paranormal? If you do, have you ever had a paranormal experience? [livejournal.com profile] jeune_fleur
I do believe in the paranormal! I see ghosts.
loki clone disappear
what this is completely relevant

The first time I did I was in maybe 3rd grade, there was a ghost that ran at me out of my mother's bedroom. That house was really haunted. The people that had lived there before us (this was rental home) had actually moved out in the middle of the night without letting the landlord know they were leaving, they just threw most of their stuff in the car and drove off. This was in the middle of the winter so the pipes froze and everything.

There was a ghost girl that my mom saw looking into my sister's crib, there was an old man who was more of a poltergeist, and there was something more sinister. A lot of really weird stuff happened at that house, but only some of it was directly involved with me.

Apparently my mother saw parts of the wall and floor disappear, eyes looking at her through keyholes, my sisters wind-up swing would stop if it was put in a specific part of the house, things would get moved around, stuff like that.

I've seen ghosts elsewhere, and felt them, but those stories are in general less interesting. Scottie and I saw a car that disappeared when we were driving up a mountain (there was nowhere that it could have gone!)

So yeah, I do believe in the paranormal. I never argue that I'm sane however, so take that as you will. xD

lol, ghost!Loki could maybe sort of work. He'd always be trolling everyone though.

Those people must have been really scared to just up and move in the middle of the night! I've had many ghost experiences(including the cat that started haunting our house last year, but no one ever actually saw it!), but I'm pretty sure I couldn't deal with parts of the floor and wall seeming to disappear. Kudos to your mom!

Our house has been haunted on and off for years. Most of it started after we added on to the house when I was a kid. I did see things before that as a kid, plus the person who owned the house before us haunted it for the first few years my parents lived here. Most of it is fine, but the scary ones were when something was banging on all our windows at night but no one was outside. My mom bought something at a garage sale and something came with it that kept drying to drag her out of her bed and punched me in the face. I feel like a lot of people aren't believers until they experience something. Other than my younger brother lol. He's convinced that ghosts/anything supernatural are really demons.

Me, I think there are spirits around us. You just gotta pay attention to what you hear/see.

For example, after my grandpa on my dad's side of the family passed a few years ago, I went to sleep that night after the funeral, and he came to me in a dream telling me he was fine and not in pain any more. When I told my mom and pop about it the next day, they said it was just my imagination. Same thing happened when my grandmother on my dad's side of the family passed, and my uncle and grandfather (not at the same time, mind you) on my Mom's side passed. Every time I go visit my grandma (on my mom's side), I sense the two there, but I just smile and go about my business.

And the time I was in high school, when I was coming up from the area where the car riders get out to go into the school, (we had this thing where the buses would let out, and the car riders let out in the lower part of the parking lot...never really understood that...) I had my nose stuck in a book, reading. (Gee, who does that sound like? XD) As I was about to cross over, in front of the bus section, I clearly heard a male voice call out "BETH, STOP!!!". I glanced up, and saw a bus turning the corner that would have hit me, if I had not glanced up. My foot was literally raised to move, if I had not heard that shout. As I bookmarked my spot, I glanced around to see who had called out, but there was nobody there.

I shrug it off as my Guardian Angel, but I'm beginning to think I keep getting this stuff (even though I'm a Christian) for a reason.

I'm not sure if it was a paranormal experience, but this sure scared the crap out of me:

In the building next to the one my research lab is in, there's a building named after a rich benefactor, and in the foyer is a painting of his daughter who died at 20. There is a rumor that her ghost haunts the building. The eyes of this painting seem to follow you no matter which angle you are looking at, and one day the inside case of the painting appeared fogged up as if someone had been breathing on it from the inside. I'm sure there was some not-paranormal explanation for it but it was very creepy. I not sure if ghosts are real or not, although if her ghost is around, I'd imagine she's friendly and pretty!

Also, when I was 17 my brother and I saw a UFO!

Holy shit those people were really scared to run away that way in them middle of the night! O_O. I know I always say that I'm more scared of the living than the dead but damn it, it's super freaky ;_;

Now I feel like writing a post about my experiences as well!

I feel like a lot of people aren't believers until they experience something.

Dunno! Some people get so scared from the experience itself that they keep saying they don't believe, that's it's silly as a way of convincing themselves that nothing happened to them!

My mom bought something at a garage sale and something came with it that kept drying to drag her out of her bed.

I've had that happen to me once and it's the worst thing ever ;_; Though in my case there was no particular reason why it happened....

I hear you there lol. My younger brother is convinced that ghosts and all things supernatural are really demons trying to trick us. idek, and he's more sensitive to the supernatural than I am!

I would've cleansed my house that moment tbh. We've had to cleanse the house a few times over the years, but whatever came with that garage sale item keeps returning (which is why we think it came with the garage sale item lol). It was uber eerie because I mom returned to the house of the garage sale to ask if they knew what was attached to it and it was whole new people and they had no clue about any garage sale that took place in their yard! Would've thought those people were trolling if it wasn't for the fact that it took a while to get rid of one of the things because it kept reappearing in the house after we gave them away.

I think that there is totally a level of openness that you have to have to experience paranormal activity. My mom used to be really open to it and but she kind of shut down a lot of that later on. She still saw things but I don't think she saw as much. I've remained open though, and Scottie does too. I see more than he does though.

There might have been something there, the dog might have been sensing something too!

Date: 2014-05-01 05:57 am (UTC)From: [identity profile] invsagoth.livejournal.com
ehehehe, he totally would! I would do the same thing. x3

I know, they must have been! I think it says something that the other people who lived in that house (before and after) never stayed there long, and it was actually a cute house in a relatively nice location.
Mom didn't deal that well with parts of the floor disappearing! I'm glad I didn't experience that part.

The item story is really freaky! The banging on the windows reminds me of one of the rooms in the house I was talking about- there was a room that was always locked that we'd hear scratching at, and the doorknob would turn. Creepy stuff!
Mom thought the sinister force at that house was a demon.

It totally makes sense that some people will just convince themselves that an experience didn't actually happen because they can't deal with it being a real thing. I think it's silly, but I can understand.

All this talk about haunted items is making paranoid about my love of rummage sailing I hope that Scottie doesn't see this he doesn't want me to get more random things from rummage sales xD

Date: 2014-05-01 06:05 am (UTC)From: [identity profile] invsagoth.livejournal.com
That's creepy that the item kept coming back! DX

Aw, I think that's nice that your grandpa came to you to tell you he was ok. :3 And the others! It's sweet that your grandparents are there too.

lol at your nose stuck in a book! I totally did that too btw! Sometimes I passed where I was trying to go and would have to backtrack. Its awesome that you were stopped before the bus came! I get that too.

I'm not christian (I'm pagan), but I think that we get help for a reason. :3

Date: 2014-05-01 05:16 pm (UTC)From: [identity profile] invsagoth.livejournal.com
That does sound spooky! xD I don't know if that means she's around, but I can totally see being creeped out by that. ehehe

Date: 2014-05-01 05:18 pm (UTC)From: [identity profile] invsagoth.livejournal.com
You could have been sensing ghosts! I'm used to seeing or at least sensing them myself since I've seen them since I was a kid, but it can still be creepy. n_n

Date: 2014-05-01 05:19 pm (UTC)From: [identity profile] invsagoth.livejournal.com
They really must have been! They didn't even say anything about leaving to the landlord, they just up and left because they were just done. lol

You should! :D

Date: 2014-05-01 05:21 pm (UTC)From: [identity profile] invsagoth.livejournal.com
ehehehe, thank you! :3 It's one of my better nickname stories.

I know, right?

Mayhaps it was Loki, having a good day.

*Zapped*

It was so strange! The first it happened my mom thought that they were brought back, except the friends that she gave them to hadn't been by. Plus, they kept appearing in weird places like inside a box, behind the couch, etc.

Date: 2014-05-01 10:39 pm (UTC)From: [identity profile] icecoldrain.livejournal.com
That's when you do everything to cleanse the house. Burn sage, have a priest bless it, have a Rabi bless it, just get everyone to come by and bless it while hoping for the best lol.

It was! At first I was like should I open the curtain? But then I didn't know what I would've done if someone was outside banging on the window. One night my mom stormed out there and the window banging was still going with no one there. It was crazy!

Who knows tbh. There was a ghost at one of the homes my great grandmother used to own that tried to drown my brother's dad. Ghosts can be pretty strong! Not sure about the hallucinating though.
