Ok, with the way lj is going, I finally did another backup of my entries here.
I really need to get better with the cross-posting going forward, but the import is really smooth, so that's a great thing.
I'll have to start looking for communities.
My account on lj in theory should be fine, I bought a permanent account absolutely ages ago (or well, Lottie bought one for me on a sale as a gift, iirc, back when we first moved to Alaska in like...2009), which means that I just always have the 'professional package' enabled. But even if I can continue to post, what about anyone else? What would there be to read?
If they decide to yeet the entire section of non-Russian lj, what happens to my account then? Everything with lj is rather unfortunate, or well, Russia in general. I don't support what they've been doing, but also I can only imagine that much like in the US, not everyone in Russia supports what Russia is doing either. And well, I bought my permanent account in 2009, so it's not like I've been doing anything to give them money anyway for a very long time.
