Sculpting challenge, day 191- Loki!Pony painting continued. Also future projects + olympics skating

So I am finally feeling well enough that I can start on my arts again! Did some painting on Pony!Loki, it's not done yet but I wanted to give him shaded socks and hoof colour.

Oh, I love painting, it is a purrfect activity!

I also have a REALLY strong inspiration for another sculpt, but I actually want to use my Wacom tablet for it instead of my sketchbook like usual. I don't have it configured for my computer though, so Scottie being his awesome self is going to set that up for me tomorrow. I don't want to say what exactly it is just yet, but I swear when I woke up this morning all I wanted to do was go start on this project. I had to go to work though instead, ah well! I need infinite time. lol

I watched the Olympics women's figure skating long program tonight! I'm going to be so sad when this is all over. n_n'
I really loved Yuna Kim's performance! I was happy for her. I liked how artistic it felt. I also enjoyed Adelina Sotnikova's program! I liked Yuna's a bit more though. I apprieciated and respected Carolina Kostner's, but it wasn't really my taste. I did like it more as it progressed though. I still love Julia Lipnitskaia, I felt bad for her when she fell. Loved Ashley Wagner's performance, and she had one of my favorite outfits of the night. I also loved loved loved Akiko Suzuki's outfit. So pretty. :3 Also, she was skating to Phantom of the Opera, which I love, that music is something that I am most intimately familiar with. :3

Ending with the fabulous Johnny Weir, who gets Loki mixed in with him when I google him. xD

OMG, I think Yuna Kim got robbed, TBH. Adelina Sotnikova's program was very lovely and she's a tremendous athlete (don't get me wrong), but I think she lacks Yuna's artistic sophistication. There's a lot of analysis going on right now about Yuna's footwork and how she landed her jumps in relation to Adelina's, and some are saying that Yuna's jumps/landings/footwork looked stronger than Adelina's.

But hey, it's figure skating, it's always controversial.

Also, Carolina Kostner totally skated to "Bolero" not like, in Sochi time, even a few seconds after I mentioned to you that nobody had skated to "Bolero" yet, and I laughed so hard.

What do you think of Polina Edmunds? Every time she fell I cringed, because she looks so tiny. >.< I think in a few years she'll be really terrific, and she seems like such a nice young lady too (unlike Ashley Wagner, whose irritable-seeming personality just bothers me on general principles).

I didn't like a lot of the costume choices last night either. There was way too much sparkly boobage going on there.

I felt the same way! I was hoping that Yuna would win, but it didn't feel as sophisticated. I certainly didn't think that Adelina skated poorly, and I think she deserved a medal, I just thought it should have been silver. n_n

I suppose there will always be controversy though! Especially when there is more open to interpretation. Ah well.

That's so funny about Bolero! And like you said that it isn't good skating music but people want to be edgy and skate to it anyway- and I didn't really like the program mostly because of the music. It just doesn't flow well!

I meant to post about Polina! Especially since she had my favorite outfit of the night, oops!
I cringed everytime she fell too, but I do when everyone falls. I thought she skated really well, especially since she's just a bb! I'm sure we'll see more of her. :3

Last night didn't have my favorite costumes, but there were pretty ones. Of course, Scottie would say (and I would agree) that sparkly boobage is the exact opposite of a deterrent to me. xD
