So I just started importing all of my entries to DW. I have no idea how long that will take! I've been here in LJ for 10 years by this Novemeber (I think). That's a lot of entries! I'll never leave LJ though. xD But I think it's a good idea to have a backup! Plus I do have friends that have moved and maybe there are more people there that I can also friend.

I have felt really sick today. I'm not sure if it's just because of the headache I have or if it's also something else, but bleh.

btw, if anyone wants to friend me on DW, I'm milleniumgypsy there! :3

Does that mean you can do the back-up without the byline at the bottom about how this post was cross-posted to DW blah blah?

Because I liked the idea of a backup but not leaving LJ or having to read two different set of comments.

It looks like it imported without any of that, so I guess that changed? xD

I'm pretty excited about having a backup just in case something ever happened. I'd be crushed if I lost everything!

Yeah, me too, that's 7 years and 2,400 entries...I definitely need to look into that.

One of my friends actually linked me to the importer, it's super easy! I just checked everything off and it imported everything in like an hour. It even kept all of my privacy settings and comments! I was really impressed with how ridiculously easy it was.

I was also excited because I'd wanted to do the download thing for my journal to backup on my computer, but I guess you kind of have to go entry by entry when it's older stuff? I don't know if it's changed but at least before you didn't get to keep the comments and that was sad.

Of course, now I have a Linux program to do a dl backup which should be better than that, but still.
