Sculpting challenge: Day 89! Also, Christmas stuffs!

So today I did some sculpting! I didn't get as much done as I wanted today because I came down with something, I actually was feeling off last night but then I woke up this morning to a sore throat. I just hope that it's not strep again!

Anyway, today I mellowed out the muscle definition to something closer to what I want for the end product. I still need to tweek that, and I want to work more on the ribcage area. I'm not going to finish that the rest of the front detailing though until I've done the back. I'm planning on doing that tomorrow. I added breasts to the three girls. They're really coming along I think!



I just hope mom doesn't find it too strange that I'm sculpting teh bewbs. She doesn't know that I'm bi, and I know that she's kinda homophobic. I don't think that a human figure as an art piece is something that should be objectionable, but you never know how other people will react. :P

In other news, Christmas was nice! Since neither of us were feeling terribly good, we basically just chilled. Scottie surprised me with french toast for breakfast which was really sweet! For dinner, we had been planning on turkey, but again, feeling crappy, so we did chicken instead because that was a bit less intense. Then Scottie made a cake and cupcakes from scratch, and the cherry frosting was also made from scratch!







I caught up watching some Dr. Who today while cuddling with my cutie, which was nice. I also watched some Rizolli and Isles. I called my mom and sister. It wasn't the best day for me to be making phone calls though with my throat! The one silly thing from my call to my mom was when she couldn't seem to hear when I was telling her that my throat was sore so I couldn't talk too long. I kept having to repeat 'MY THROAT IS SORE.. SORE THROAT..... NO SORE THROAAAAT!'

I've never seen a Deuce or Gil in person, those are supposed to be the hardest to find. I've seen the Draculaura/Clawd set, but only once (I hadn't realized I'd wanted a boy, so I split with someone in the MH community so I could get Draculaura since I thought her parasol was super cute lol). Later on I got the Sweet 1600 Clawd out of a cheaper Ebay lot of all the 1600 dolls. I've seen Jackson off and on, he's in one of the newer waves out so he's probably one of the easier guys to get a hold of. Another more common guy to find is the male Vampire/Gargoyle CAM set since that's one of the things that was recently released. :3 I was seeing that a lot recently.

I've seen the draculaura/clawd set once kinda kicking myself for not getting it. I see the make cam kits alot too, but that's all ive seen. next time i see a guy i can't not get him. Lol girl wise i totally want jinafire long next

Jinafire is totally cute! I love the Scaris line so much! :D I'm glad that I'd ended up holding off on getting the dragon girl CAM set because Jinafire is more awesome. :D

She is!! I love the scaris line too! I found the ghouls alive dolls the other day almost got that spectra but her hair was messed up and falling out. The Frankie and clawdeen are pretty neat too but they don't look as poseable. As for the cam kits ill probably end up getting the cat and witch eventually.

Happy Christmas Tanya! I agree with the above poster - the boobs do look really lifelike, and no, because it is art, it should not be considered objectionable unless your mom is like one of those people who thinks Michaelangelo's David is pornography.

Also - desserts. Those looks amazing! Also - being sick on Christmas sucks. I hope you feel better soon! :) <3

Thank you! I'm glad that the boobs look lifelike, it's totally a pet peeve of mine when girls look like they have balloons stuck to their chest. xD I don't think mom will find it objectionable, she raised me to believe in tolerance of everything... until I was in college and all of the gay rights activism, which I was totally in support of, caused her to start completely freaking out with homophobia. Since I'd always thought she was cool with everyone's lifestyle choices I was pretty surprised, and now I'm always a bit unsure about what she's actually ok with. lol xP

Amazing sculpting! I hope your mom doesn't think it's weird that you're sculpting boobs. It's art, not lewd at all. Being good at drawing/sculpting any part of the human anatomy shouldn't really be any indication of sexuality, it's an indication that you're good at art.

Your food all looks delicious! I'm jealous!
