Sculpting challenge: Day 49!
Oct. 5th, 2012 10:16 pmSo my sculpting challenge is slowed up a bit because I've been working on a side project that is currently under wraps. :3
But last night I was able to work on my bird a bit! I finished sculpting the face and got the wing armatures prepared and layered in clay. That's about all but I'd been busy for a while before that so that's as far as I got! lol The wings need to be attached and textured next, and the legs need to be sculpted, the prebaked feet attached... then it should just be texturing the whole bird. I'm not sure I'm looking forward to sculpting in all those feathers!
In other news, we stopped by the Spirit Halloween store today. They used to have a spot in the mall, but this year they took over the closed Borders building. I'm glad they're doing something with that building, it was a really nice spot! It was interesting to see some of the stuff in there. I saw all the new Monster High costumes which was fun! xD Some of the big pieces that they had are more gruesome than I prefer, but it was still entertaining. :3 I love Halloween so I was excited to see what they had to offer. I didn't see anything that I wanted though, the store mainly had costumes and big "scary" pieces. I had really been hoping for some smaller decorations, especially lights, since our living space isn't huge. I'd also been hoping for really small decorations that I could pose with my dolls for a fun way to decorate. xD
