More ferrets in the park, etc
Apr. 27th, 2012 12:56 amSo we took the ferts to the park again today. Two parks actually! We went to the library park again. Today Scottie wore a different hoodie with a big front pocket in front so Chaos could sit in that. It was really funny and cute to see Chaos sticking his head out of one of the sides of the pocket while Scottie walks around. hehe
I wore the same hoodie as yesterday, and Gwin spent half the time exploring and the other half of the time hanging out in my pocket. He kind of curls up in such a way that his head is sticking out so he can watch everything, and his tail ends up sticking out and fanning over his head.
It was really cute too today because for some reason both ferrets were really interested in climbing up my leg. We think it might be because the different color hoodie Scottie was wearing made him look less interesting because it wasn't red like his flannel. My hoodie is pink, and they tend to like pink. Chaos was getting into all sorts of digging mischief, so when he would come over to climb on my leg he's leave little paw prints on my pants. I had so many little paw prints on my knees, lol.
We stopped by another park on the way home to see how it would be. They'd had some time to warm up in the truck so we figured they'd be happy to have another romp. This was a kid's park, and there were a few more people there than we'd been expecting. There were some kids there, but they weren't badly behaved. I was concerned about how the ferrets would react to them, but in there typical fashion they weren't terribly concerned or impressed by new things. They got a couple of pets, and at times the ferrets were interested, but as soon as they were no longer interested they were off in another direction. The ferrets didn't seem fazed at all by the kids, which is good. I'm glad that the kids were reasonably good about them.
I felt awkward of course. I'm socially awkward around adults and I'm that much more awkward around someone else's kids. You'd think with all the time I spent raising my siblings I'd be less awkward, but that's not the case. lol xP
The fuzzbuts had fun there because the playground had gravel around the different equipment. They were really excited about all the digging opportunities!
I didn't take any pictures yet, I'm not sure how I'll be able to manage that. They take all of my attention to make sure that they don't get into trouble. Though I could probably take a picture of Gwin when he's in my pocket. I suppose if he's in my pocket I could take that opportunity to take pictures of other things as well. Hmm... Maybe next time. hehe
Tonight me and Scottie played another module of D&D Ravenloft board game, we've gone through most of the adventures included in the game now! We really like that game. It allows us to partially scratch the itch to play D&D, but takes almost no prep time to do.
