We're getting ferrets!
There was a posting on Craigslist that we decided to go for. xD Two young ferrets, both spayed, vaccinated, and descented (not that I care about the descenting); plus their cage, food, and other things for $180. It is kind of expensive, but we've been wanting little furbabies for so long! That rehoming fee is slightly less than the cost of 2 ferrets from the pet store which doesn't include their cage or anything else, so it is a great deal.
I saw a picture of them and they are SO CUTE. One is white and the other is multicoloured. That's perfect because Scottie wanted one with markings and I wanted a white one. lol
I'm ridiculously excited! xD The guy is supposed to give us a call tomorrow, he already sent them off to a different home but the lady was allergic to them. She's bringing them back tomorrow and he'll give us a call then.
The only sad thing is I won't have a lot of time with them before I have to leave for the field this summer. If I get the Walrus position that I interviewed for this morning, I'll be leaving at the beginning of May. (I really hope I get it!) If I don't get that though, at the very least I'll still be leaving at the end of May for Pilot and I'll be gone for 3.5 months. Ugh. I am so, so sick of remote field camps.
