Ferrets

So I was poking around on craigslist, partly because I was thinking of looking at jobs for mom back in Michigan... and somehow ended up looking at pets. Me and Scottie have been talking about getting ferrets for a while, and we saw a listing for free ferrets and all of their things. I just sent them an email about them, because OMGFERRETS.

I wonder if they're still available! I'm nervous. xD

I asked them about gender, vet care, age, and if they were still available. I'm not sure if getting a ferret right now is the best idea since we're looking at moving very soon, but I guess we'll see. It's a moot point if they're not available. I don't think it should actually be a problem though, it would just make moving a bit more complicated. We already have Lita to worry about anyway though, so it's not like we don't already have to think about pets in our plans.

If they are available, I am going to be spending the day cleaning up some of our moving mess! lol

So I got back to my sculpting now that I finally feel better!

I got a lot of the fox face sculpt done today and I'm actually really happy with how it's turning out. I need to do a bit more on the snout since when I was putting in the eyes it got a little pushed out of shape. I have it mostly fixed but the clay was getting really warm so I needed to put the head in the fridge to cool down.

I also did a lot of bulking out of the body. I was going to start the legs but it's getting late so that's probably not going to happen tonight. I have to do a bit more on the face and attach the head to the body. Then I need to sculpt the ears on. Then of course I need to sculpt and attach the tail, and fur everything. That's probably not all going to happen on the same day though!

I'll probably do the legs tomorrow as well, assuming I have time to sculpt. The legs are going to need to be sculpted, furred, and baked like the fawn legs were. So that's going to take priority over other parts of the sculpt since I'll have to have that done before I finish the body sculpt. Hopefully the bake will go better than the fawn did!

I'm not sure if I mentioned this, but I did fix the fawn leg! I just glued it back on instead of sculpting on a new foot. The break was really clean so it was fine. The only real problem is I think that during the baking the legs all shifted slightly, so one of the feet doesn't touch the ground 100%, though it's not all that noticeable.
