Sculpting challenge: Day 33!
Feb. 26th, 2012 09:02 pmI finally got to sculpting tonight! With work, being sick, and the distraction of Skyrim I haven't been very good about keeping up with my sculpting challenge. But I haven't quit! n_n'
Tonight I finished sculpting the detail work on the legs and furred them. They're just about finished baking now, they'll need to be pre-baked before I add them onto the sculpt itself.
I also did some work on the face, and I sculpted on the ears. They're a bit bigger than I anticipated, but I think they're cute that way so I'm leaving them as is.
I can't sculpt any more until after the legs are baked, and they're not going to be ready to work with until after they've cooled. That pretty much means I'm done for tonight.
What I have left is sculpting the legs onto the body, sculpting on a tail, and furring it. The baking of this one will be interesting because it will be a two part process (three part, if you include the pre-baked legs). I have to bake it standing for a while first with some bracing, then I need to finish it baking on it's side. Hopefully this works out! I'm not sure if I'll do it tomorrow, it'll depend on how much time I have. I'll want to start baking right after I finish sculpting, so I'll have to know that I have a fair bit of time available.
