My bird died last night. I was going to write about it last night but I didn't. I had that bird since a couple months before my 18th birthday (It was a bday present) and since I turned 23 this December that's a fairly long time. I got him from a petstore in Houghton that burned down a couple days after I got him.
Last night after me and mom were finished watching Hero I had looked over at him and thought that I was going to give him fresh food and water, but he was all puffed up and I thought he was just sleeping. I didn't want to wake him up, so I'd just do it a little later.
So last night I went over to change the food and water, but didn't see him. So I took the cage in the kitchen where there was better light. He was dead on the bottom of the cage, and I was like '...oh.'
I'm not sure what I should do with his body. I'm not going to just throw him in the garbage, but outside the ground is frozen and there are huge snowbanks everywhere so it will be kind of hard to bury him right now. (Yes. I'm going to bury my bird. Stop looking at me like that. :P)
I'm sad. :(
