First day of working
Jul. 21st, 2005 06:06 pmIt was alright. I ended up working 8 hours, because the manager (Terri) I went to see this morning was like 'why didn't Ben have you come in at 8 am? Ok, you're going to have to work with Bonnie, because the other girl doesn't speak very good english, and she can't really train you in. You can work until 5'. Ok, well, at least I get more money. :P
It was crazy! The woman training me in said that I did great, which was good. There were so many people though... arg! *dies*
I saw one of the regulars from when I worked at Holiday, and he recognised me. He was like 'So you're working here now! Things are all screwed up here, maybe you can straighten them out!' etc etc I rung up his food and he paid, and then he went to leave and Bonnie (training me in, also was bagging for me) said 'aren't you going to pay for your paper towels?' and he was like 'oh! I got all excited and forgot about them!' He proceded to tell Bonnie that I was a good worker. It was funny to see him. He seems a little crazy, but he's not too bad. There must be a stereotype for his type of guy, but I can't really place it for you. lol
There was one guy that is more off than him, he came in today too. It took him forever to find his check folded up in a million papers in his wallet/pockets/shirt pockets... I'm sure the ppl who got in behind him were thrilled... :P Mom says he comes in the Dollar Store and does that too, and then he waits around forever bugging all the customers for a ride. o.O
Anyway, to solve the problem of transport, mom said she could give me a ride home. Considering she brought my brother to work, that was a good thing. I walked from IGA to the Dollar Store, got a ride home, and now here I am.
I have cleaning to do, and I need to walk the dog. (my 5 mile walks don't get altered by me working! xP) But first, I'll take a break...
