milleniumgypsy | Sculpting challenge: Day 72! Bluebird paint complete! (Reply)

Last night I finished the bluebird sculpt's paint! I'm really happy with how it turned out. This sculpt was for Scottie, it is the bluebird of happiness! I gave it to him for our 5th anniversery. :3 I didn't finish the paint until just now, but I did finish the sculpt at about the right time. n_n I need to add some embellishments for it to really show the bluebird of happiness angle, but I'm really happy with how it turned out.

Here is the bluebird unpainted!

Here she is after having a white dry brush coat over everything! It was exciting to see how all of the feathers I sculpted in popped after I put on that coat. :3

Here she is after having a dark blue stain put over everything and an extra couple of coats of stain on the feet and beak, plus an additional white coat put over the chest. Nearly finished!

Here she is finished! I added the black detailing to the end of the tail, black wingtips, a very light white dry brush over the body, a black coat over the eyes, and white feathering details on the chest and around the eyes.
