So today I finished the frog sculpt! I finished the front legs, smoothed out the clay as much as possible (Premo is really hard to keep smooth though), and added on the warts. Then I baked it, and it was really stable. I had some cracking in the toes though, which is kind of disappointing. There was a little cracking though in the initial toe baking, so I'm not entirely surprised. I had fixed the cracks, but now that everything is done that's a bit more tricky. I'm quite pleased with it though!
Then I started the bluebird sculpt! I finished the body armature and made the head armature. Then I did the base sculpt for the head and body. I'm doing this in Premo too since I do have blue Premo. I have a color called "blue jeans" and I added a little bit of Super Sculpey to lighten it up slightly and change the color tone a bit.
Tomorrow I'll finish the body base, then start the beak and face sculpt. Then I'll do the tail. The feathers are going to make this sculpt more complicated so I'll have to see how far I get. If I have time I'll start on the wings.
I feel like I got quite a bit done today which is exciting! And I did this with a ridiculous headache, so that's something lol.
While I was sculpting I watched another episode of Grimm. A couple more episodes and I'll be caught up, then I'll watch them as they come on. I like that show, I'm glad that it came back for another season! I know it was on the edge of cancellation.
