New layout! My journal has been Loki'd
Nov. 3rd, 2013 11:30 pmSo I decided today that I was going to change my layout. I used to code my own layouts and make all of the graphics for my journal... and then I stopped because they changed something. I think the last time I changed it I was still living with my family in Michigan! That was a while ago!
I remember deciding that I was going to change it, but I didn't want to figure out the new system at the time and I put in an lj premade as a place-holder. Years later... I'd just cycled around premades. lol
Originally I'd wanted to make my header with this image:

Currently one of my favorite things in the world
But I couldn't find a good enough quality image of it, and I can't look too hard because it's out of the new movie and I'm trying to avoid (unofficial at least) spoilers. So that will be for another day. I used something a little older instead.
But I've been itching to make a Loki layout. Now I finally have one! Scottie ended up helping me out because he's amazing and I haven't played around with CSS for so long that I was just sort of kermit flailing at the computer after a while.
Also, my graphics weren't showing up properly because photobucket is ridiculous and wasn't linking to the actual sized images, so when I put them into my layout for no reason I could see they weren't the right size. I'd look at the image I exported out of the GIMP, see that it was the right size, look at the coding, see it was supposed to be the right size, and bang my head against the wall because there wasn't a reason for it to be so off.

But Scottie saved me from throwing my computer out the window. ehehehe
Now that I have a code to use, I can just change the image later and hex codes for colours to change my layout when I want. Weeee I can be creative and lazy in the future!
