My restoration dolls continued!
Jun. 17th, 2013 12:04 amSo last night and today I finished cleaning them up! I think that at least a couple of them will be good candidates for face painting (Cleo has a rub in her eyeshadow and Duece has rubs on his eyebrows and a rub on his bottom lip), but after cleaning off all of the paint/marker/nail polish/whatever that was they were all perfect! I took a closer picture of a couple of the messiest dolls. Technically Frankie was by far the worst, but since I was a little nervous about scrubbing off the face paint with the gunk with the Magic Eraser, I did her first since she was already in the worst shape (broken neck peg and missing legs!). I forgot to take a picture first.

Here they are after all the scrubbing! They turned out better than I'd even hoped! Lagoona had paint on her cheeks and I was afraid I would scrub off her freckles. I didn't!

Then I decided to put them in some of the clothes that came with them in the garage sale box. Duece is only missing his glasses I think! Cleo has her shoes and part of her top. Clawdeen has her dress, shoes, and accessories, but the dress needs sewing. Frankie has her belt, purse, and dress- the dress is ripped down both sides though. Venus had her pants and shoes, There was an extra Lagoona shirt that I paired with those. Lagoona just had one shoe otherwise. I have an extra pair of brown boots, a guys pair of shorts, a guys pair of jeans, and the rest of the clothes are for Barbie. The pink dress I have on Lagoona is for Barbie, but it actually fits pretty well and it's so pretty. n_n The lacey robe I think will be really pretty on top of something that I haven't quite figured out yet (I'm not sure what it's from?). Lala only had her earrings and shoes. xD
( Here's a picture of how they look right now! )
Now that the most important cleaning is done, I'll have to wait to really go further with them. I need to get up monies to buy MSC for face-ups and also to pick up dolly hair for rerooting.
Cleo is the doll most in need of a reroot because of the damaged tinsel in her hair. The tinsel looks like it had a thread core? It's all white and fuzzy, and that doesn't look very nice. For now I think I'll just look into how to detinsel her.
