Sculpting challenge: Day 90, 91, 92!
Jan. 2nd, 2013 03:54 pmSo I've been working on my sculpts, I just haven't posted progress for a couple of days! On NYE I detailed the backs of all the torsos. I couldn't take pictures of them the way I've been taking pictures of the fronts though, just laying them out together, because I was afraid I'd squish the boobies. So I took one of the torsos and snapped a couple of pictures just holding it in my hand. lol All the backs look pretty similar. I needed to get a tush started (not perfect because I'm going to be attaching the legs and will need to do sculpting in that area then), sculpt the spine, shoulder blades, and more noticable muscles.
I still need to finish smoothing out the front muscles now that I have that done, and I need to pose at least one of the torsos. I also want to do a bit of tweaking and finishing that I couldn't do after the main sculpting because the clay was too warm. But other than that I'm getting close to finished with the bodies.

On New Years I worked a bit more on the torsos, then I started back on the heads. I continued working on the heads tonight. :) I poked starter holes for where I thought the eyes should go. The eyes look funky because I decided that I should probably wait to paint them, so they're just white. But I'm used to white eyed sculpts lol. Then I put the baked eyes into the heads. One of the heads got stabbed in the face during this manuver, luckily I was able to fix it without too much trouble. Scottie said he couldn't even see where I'd stabbed him so that was good. Then I smoothed the eye hollow a bit. I'll need to sculpt the eyes and lids next of course.

One of the heads (the one on very right of the picture) I've started sculpting out the face. She has the start of a face shape and cheek bones, but it's still really early. I'm probably going to thin that out a bit. Everyone will need cheeks added, and the male will need work on the jawline. Then of course nose, lips, eyebrows, and such. xD We'll see how far I get.
