So I went to Target with the hubby today because I'm going to do a Halloween Monster High photoshoot for a contest that I'm really excited about. I was looking for some sort of props for it. I didn't find anything exactly right, and since I can just sculpt things I'm going to be picky.

Since we were there I went and looked at the Monster High section. They had two Scarily Ever After dolls, and OMG THEY ARE SO CUTE! I loved Snow Bite more than I was expecting to. Threaderalla was also really cute. No Little Dead Riding Wolf though, and that's the one I'm most excited about. But I would -totally- have bought Snow Bite if I had the money for her. It was so hard to leave her behind! She's totally adorbs. I love the colours of everything, and the even the box was pretty. <3

They also had Robecca Steam, and while she's pretty I think I can pass on her. Me and Scottie agreed that the plates and rivets were a bit busy.

They also had the signature Abby, which I have also not seen before. Also totally cute! Right now I just have the Skull Shores version. At some point I'd like the signature, her little mammoth is really sweet and I love her outfit. :3 The shimmery leggings were a really nice touch.

They also had the new Skull Shores pack. They must have just gotten a shipment of dolls in because they were really well stocked!

The last of my flower pictures with Frankie! It was during that windstorm so it was hard to make her hair behave. xD

So tonight I did a bit more sculpting on the bird! I had the tail already finished and awaiting baking, so I wanted to get the feet done. So I put together the wire armature for the feet, then I sculpted them and textured them. Then those both got baked, and while those were going I started sculpting on the beak. I had to make a little armature for the top of the beak, then I put clay on it and sculpted it onto the face. I then started sculpting the lower beak. That looks a little silly though, it looks more like a penguin beak. It was getting kind of warm though at that point so it's back in the fridge.

So there's still quite a bit to go, but hopefully I can get some more sculpting done tomorrow. I need to finish the face sculpt and add the eyes. Then I have wings to make and feather. That will probably take a while so that's probably all I'll end up doing tomorrow assuming I have time to sculpt!

In other news, Borderlands is a lot of fun! xD Me and Scottie have been playing it together and we've beat the main storyline for playthrough 1. We're working on the Dr. Ned Zombie Island now, which is quite fun! :D

Also, Scottie made an awesome turkey dinner tonight, which was just what I'd been craving! xD He's so awesome. :D

In less exciting news, someone broke into our storage unit on Friday. Apparently they broke the doorframe to get in. Scottie said that he didn't see anything missing, so I'm rather confused as to why they broke in? I mean, I don't want them to steal anything but why break in at all? We don't keep a whole lot of valuable stuff down there because there's water leakage and it's less convenient than our upstairs closet. But our bikes are down there, and right in front of the door was a random box of game things and some dvds which were untouched. Maybe whoever it was got scared away for some reason but it's still weird. I hadn't been expecting that to get broken into because we're in a locked building. Our neighbours have a bad habit of not making sure that the door closes behind them though so it sort of defeats the purpose of the locked entrance. There's also the possibility of a neighbour doing it but that would be even lamer. :/

Then this morning we went to go out and check for doll props from my previous entry, and the glove compartment of the truck was tossed all over the front seat. Again, nothing appeared to be taken. We don't really keep valuable stuff in the truck, but I don't know what they were even looking for. That was so much more frustrating after Friday's storage unit break-in. We had left the doors unlocked so they didn't hurt the truck at all to get in. Scottie thought maybe they were looking for a gun? I thought they were looking for something to do ID theft? Money? Some small electronic device like an ipod or smartphone? We have an old beater truck so it's not like our vehicle screams money. xP

I grew up in a small rural area. We've mostly lived in smaller, more remote places. Before we moved to Anchorage a few years ago we'd only visited big cities, never lived in them. I'm not a huge fan of living in a big city. (And it doesn't matter that we live in Alaska, Anchorage is just a big city like any other big city. It might be smaller than others, but it's just a big urban center that you can see mountains far off in the distance in.)
