MH friending meme

Your name, age, and location: Tanya, 29, Anchorage AK
What are your main fannish activities? (for example: writing, making graphics, reading/commenting, cosplay, etc.) For things that I enjoy, I like being in communities interacting with people with similar interests. I want to do cosplay but I haven't yet! I like making fanart. :3
What other fandoms are you in/do you enjoy? I've been on neopets for about 11 years, so there's that. For tv I'm a big fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Firefly (weee Whedonverse!), The X-Files, Warehouse 13, Eureka, Lost Girl, Dr. Who, and more. (This makes it sound like I do nothing but watch tv but I don't watch that much tv! lol)
Favorite Monster High characters: My favourite character is a tough choice! Rochelle is really high on my list, also Spectra and Cupid. Howleen too even though I don't even have her yet. Of course I have so many Frankies and Lalas, I love those two especially! I'm terrible at picking favourites. lol
What other dolls do you collect? I'm also into BJDs! I have a lot of dolls on my wishlist though right now I just have an Elfdoll Soah, who was my first grail doll and so my first doll period. xD I'm active on BJD forums. :3 Besides BJDs, when I was younger I collected Ashton Drake porcelain dolls, though all of those are back at my family home and my tastes have changed a bit since then. I'd like to get some Novi Star dolls to make a MH hybrid with in the future, and I have some Disney princess barbies that I'm going to repaint.
What are your favorite aspects of Monster High - the dolls, the webisodes, photography, customizing, sewing? My favorite aspects of the hobby are the dolls (and all their amazing details!), customizing, and pictures! I haven't had a chance to do so yet, but I can't wait to paint my own faces.
What are some of your other hobbies, interests, etc? I do a lot of art. I spend a lot of time sculpting and painting watercolour paintings. I also love to work with animals, and right now I have two pet ferrets. I've had a lot of different animals throughout my life though (dogs, cats, birds of all kinds, fish, hamsters, mice, etc). I'm also a gamer! I loooove to play video games of all kinds. I also play DnD (Pathfinder atm) and board games. I also work as a biologist, and marine biology is one of my passions. I also love anime and manga. A couple of my favorite animes include Full Metal Alchemist, Blood+, and Nanoha. I also knit and crochet!
Three auxiliary things you think are awesome (needn't be related to MH): Piping plovers! I used to work as a F&W tech protecting them and zomg piping plover chicks are so CUTE. Singing is awesome and fun! Another thing I love is to go swing dancing, it's something that me and my hubby both enjoy to do.
Three auxiliary things you dislike (also needn't be MH-related): People that try to force their views onto me. People that drive through the parking lot with their music loud enough to set off car alarms (wtf?). Websites that only work in Internet Exploder.
