Amusing PC story.
Apr. 6th, 2010 05:28 pmSo randomly I was thinking about how silly the PC is, and I remembered a draik adoption story.
I was looking at the PC because I had been thinking of trading my UC dari zafara. I saw a topic entitled about a white draik UFA. Curious, I clicked on the link. I've never done an application more than a basic neomail application and have no intention starting. I wasn't going to apply... Basically, I was curious about what the responses would be.
So I go inside, and see her active is a Christmas draik. Her active is the draik UFA. "That's not white?" I think to myself. I start to read her post.
It went something along these lines:
My draik is UFA! I know she's christmas now, but I promise she will be WHITE when I adopt her out. Stupid boochi zapped her into a baby, so I painted her Christmas and I'm saving up for a white paint brush to paint her before adoption! She will be white, don't worry!
I don't remember how the rest of the post went... but I do remember being amused that she was SO INSISTENT that she was going to be WHITE OMG! I'm sure that people would have gone gaga over her as a baby. Heck, I'm sure people would have still gone gaga over her being Christmas. I don't really see the point in adopting out a pet if you NEVER EVER WANT IT TO CHANGE from your own vision of it. It seems to me like they want to give it to someone else and pretend that it's theirs on a side account or something. lol
I do understand wanting to give a pet to someone and hoping that they really do want whatever species/color combo it is. But that just struck me as... somewhat obsessive.
I'm considering posting this to n_a, but I'm not sure. For now, I'll just post it here.
