*points to icon* Edward's out in the sun!
Jun. 16th, 2009 09:53 amo.O; I just saw the most disturbing video. It was for Incubus, and I think the song was Anna Marie, or something similar. Girl was in the morgue for some reason, and she kept starting to move her hand, but she couldn't. They get to the autopsy, and they're -just- about to cut into her head, and she finally is able to move and stop them, because she's not actually dead. I wasn't sure if she was supposed to be dead, and the life was in her head- ie, she was really dead but you stay with the body through decay and stuff. I'm not sure that makes sense, but that idea creeps me out. Turns out she wasn't actually dead. I guess. So confusing.
So, back to my original thought. I'm a closet Twilight fan. Something I usually hate to admit, since there is that huge crazy fan following. But there are crazy fangirls all over the place. There are crazy FMA fangirls for instance.
I just saw a video for the Twilight movie, which I actually liked. I liked the book, and it followed the book very closely. Scottie actually wished that they had taken more liberties with the book, which is odd for him because that usually drives him nuts. It's just that since so much of the book is in Bella's head it doesn't actually make for the most exciting movie. Not that he wanted them to alter the book, like make a crazy vampire flick and just happen to use the book's character names, and loosely use some concepts. Those movies/shows/etc piss us off to no end. (I'm looking at you Legend of the Seeker!! *growls*) Just add in some stuff to make it more interesting.
I also wish they had used different actors. I liked the actor that played Alice. Basically nobody else looked like I thought they should. Not that I expect them to match my imagination... But Edward is supposed to be the most beautiful man EVAR right? They could have at least picked someone... I dunno... attractive? I was thinking of the actors they picked for Interview with the Vampire. (Yes yes, Interview is a better book, it should attract better actors, etc etc etc... I read Anne Rice I've read the Twilight series. I like them both and I don't really care.) They picked for Louis and Lestat Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise. Armand got Antonio Banderas. Claudia got a young Kirsten Dunst. These are very attractive people.
Why exactly did someone decide that Robert Pattinson (I had to look up the name, I thought it was Patterson xP) was the most beautiful guy to play Edward? And fangirls fall all over the dude. *sigh* Now, I admit that everyone in the book looked like anime people in my head, really. Edward looked something like Kyo from Fruits Basket. To Scottie, Edward looked like Yuki from Fruits Basket, because he glossed over what Edward looked like exactly. IE, his hair color is that? Oops. It's kind of funny though still.
Anime appearances aside, there had to have been someone with better looks and talent out there somewhere right?
Anyway, I'm done. I could write more, but I don't really feel like it. So this turns into a rant about how I don't like the actors picked for the movie... Lovely.
