Babies. I hate babies. I'm stuck on a bus with 2 babies... one of which just got off the bus, thank the gods, but for the last hour I have had to listen to the baby shrieking at the top of her lungs. I wasn't overly impressed by the mother. She seemed to be restraining herself from doing something like hitting the thing for misbehaving, and didn't really know how to calm it. Now, I can understand how the baby might have been upset. It looked to be maybe 2. It's a long bus ride, she got on at like... 4:30? It is now 8:38. The baby was quiet for the beginning of the trip, but it was sleeping at the time. When it woke up it wanted to run around and play but she couldn't do that on the bus. The mother at least was good about keeping the kid with her most of the time. She did let it run around for a little bit, but it wasn't listening to her and even grabbed my bottle of pop. The mother took the bottle away from the kid and gave it back to me, and that started the kid off full force. So it kept shrieking at the top of it's lungs. I turned the volume all the way up on my ipod on the most loud songs on my playlist (I'm sure it was great on my ears) and I couldn't drown out the noise!
The mother was trying to shut the kid up (I was getting to the point where I wanted to toss moo and crotch dropling out the window) but couldn't.
But I think that this could have been avoided. Sure, the kid can't explore. But maybe if she could have brought something to entertain it. She had one small doll which obviously wasn't cutting it. She could have brought a couple of toys, the moo didn't have anything as a carryon besides the kid. She could have brought food, the kid might have been hungry. But she didn't bring anything for the kid, that was stupid.
We stopped a McDonalds and she didn't get anything for her or her kid either. (This food thing being a whole other rant from my trip from hell, but I will refrain from typing it up at the moment. I have to conserve power you know. My computer battery not dying during the remainder of this trip is crutial to me being able to charge my ipod.)

There is another kid further back in the bus, it's younger, under a year I would say. It keeps starting to cry, and it's had some bouts but the mother is usually able to quiet it before it screams too long.

Of course, my trip from hell had kids on it early on, but none of them had screaming fits to that extent, so that needed to be put in. Because otherwise it wouldn't be a -complete- trip from hell.

Well, I'm tired. I wanted to try to go to sleep earlier but I couldn't for fear of sprogling getting into my bag and the moo allowing it because I was asleep and it would be keeping sprogling busy.
