Gah!!! This just makes me sick!

Ok, last week was pride week. I like pride week. On campus we have Keweenaw Pride, a group supporting gays, lesbians, bisexuals, and transgender individuals. (And obviously there are people who support the group that aren't any of these that are allies.) There were chalkings on sidewalks advertising the week activities and promoting tolerance. (There are chalkings on the sidewalks to advertise other things too, when the sidewalks are clear of snow. :P)

Basically all over campus they wrote things like 'next week is kill all fags week, bring your own gun!!!' or 'Die queers!' or 'Mutilate all queers', shit like that. I actually saw the mutilate all queers one when I was walking to campus Thursday morning. It was sort of smeared like someone tried to erase it, but it was still there. I walked right over it and didn't pay it much mind until I was passed it, when it hit me that it wasn't a normal chalking. I hadn't had time to go back and look and see if it said what I thought it said because I needed to get to class, but since I hadn't actually -read- it, I didn't realize that it said to mutilate gay people. So much for me liking my campus. *growls*

Now I need to go study for my orgo exam. But I needed to rant. (Unfortunetly, it's not -that- helpful...)
