New layout!
Mar. 10th, 2006 02:29 amI'm getting much faster at doing these. I randomly decided to change my layout today, and now it's done. Most of the time I spent on it was fiddling with the graphics. Anyway, I like it. Any thoughts on it? It should work for everyone. I'm currently using firefox, I should test it in other browsers I suppose but I think it should be fine.
This is sort of the red layout I want, though I think at some point I'll make a more entirely red layout. The graphic for this layout however I wanted to keep the original color, though I changed it in more subtle ways to look the way I wanted it to. hehe
The title of my journal translates to 'Look up at the sky and feel the wind', which I felt was rather appropriate.
I was just thinking, I've come a long way from when I first started making layouts! lol When I first started trying to figure it out it was such a pain in the arse. But now I don't care.
Oh, does anyone know how to make my icons appear on my journal like they do normally in your friends page? I would like to be able to do that, but that is one thing that I still don't know how to do.
I did notice something when I was testing the layout to make sure it worked, did lj change the way they do old entries or am I going crazy? I wanted to make sure that the days part of the layout worked, but I went back a few pages and it just stayed as the main journal layout. Did they get rid of days? Or am I going crazy? o.O If they got rid of the way they used to handle old entries that would be so cool. That was irritating... if I ever wanted to just read back thru old entries I would always end up going to look at the calender because otherwise I would be shuffling thru for example 'oct 19th-no entries *next page* oct 18th-no entries *next few pages of days w/ no entries, finally hits another entry*' It looks like it reads as a continous journal now regardless of the date...
I really hope that I'm not going nuts. lol It might even be really old news. I dunno.
If that is true, I now have some unnecessary coding in my layout... not that it's hurting anything but still lol. I'll get rid of it on the next journal change if it doesn't need to be there.
