Ok, today hasn't been entirely spiffy but it's definetely gotten better in the last little while! lol :P

When I got in the car to come home mom informed me that the computer had picked up a trojan and Mcafee didn't do anything with it, and she said that she tried to scan the computer with an online virus scanner but it didn't work. Also my brother was in the backseat hacking, he's even spent a few days home this week. Oh boy.

So I came home and immediately went to work getting rid of the trojan. I was annoyed, I wanted to see the video Scottie had sent me on Valentines day, not fix the computer again! :P So anyway, got rid of the trojan, saw my video, was very happy. :D

Something else that happened today was my Full Metal Alchemist CDs finally came in! I was worried that they weren't going to. When I ordered the cds from the guy on ebay he had good feedback, but right after I had ordered he ended up with a slew of bad feedback from people because they paid for their stuff from him and he didn't give them anything. Not good. So it took a long time but I kept potitely bugging him about when my cds were going to come in. Based on his replies to his other bad feedback I felt that being nice was going to be the best way to get my cds. Threatening more bad feedback seemed like a waste of time considering he'd gotten over 10-20 in the past few weeks (some were multiples from one person, that one was odd) so really, what was one more to the list from another 'ungrateful buyer'? So, I decided that I would instead of threatening bad feedback or sounding like I was complaining just barrage him with sunny queries about when I should expect my cds to come in and that I was really looking forward to them. *shrug* Anyway, I really doubt that it took -this- long for the cds to get to me if he sent them out right away, but he got around to it. Perhaps if I was home more than weekends it would have bothered me more, but I didn't really notice the time so much.

So I decided to try them out and make sure they work. They only play on computers, but that's a minor thing I think. So I tried to play the first one, and it would start... try to start... try to start... try to start... It's scratched and doesn't want to play. I'm not sure if it's fixable. Scottie has the first season already and said he would burn me a copy so I'm not sure if I should bother trying to bug the ebay guy for a replacement. The next two cds are the most important, though I was really looking forward to watching the beginning of the series again. Also, I haven't actually seen the first couple of episodes! Oh well, these ones weren't the critical ones anyway. Like I said, Scottie has them.

So I tried out the next couple of cds. These were the cds that had episodes 26-51. Scottie doesn't have the second season because in the second season the anime became licensed and he couldn't download it anymore. And they worked! Only the sound worked though. That's not entirely helpful... I want to see the picture and I sort of need to see the subtitles. I'm not exactly currently fluent in Japanese. lol It wasn't the cds though, my computer was lacking in the proper codecs. So I upgraded my media player, and found the proper codecs. It was frustrating at first because media player wouldn't tell me which ones were missing. Grr. But I found a program that would tell me whatever codecs were required to play a file and then I found the proper codecs. Finally! I could play the cds! Yay for having a picture to go with the sound. hehe

So, yay! I have Full Metal Alchemist and video of Scottie!

(and btw, if I'm making entirely no sense, it's because I'm very tired as well... It's late and this week has been entirely insane. o.O)
