Ctrl-Alt-Delete Valentines strip... so cute!

That reminds me. I haven't posted how Scottie proposed to me yet! I should write that up. Maybe I should wait until tomorrow... But today is good. I should be studying for my genetics exam (Wednesday) but I think I can spare a little time.

Ok, so I was in Colorado (obviously). Me and Scottie were hanging out. It was early afternoon and this was the second day in row that Scottie had off. Scottie said that he needed to run some errands (Like he needed to go to the post office and such) and so I went to take a shower. He wouldn't leave until I went to go take my shower, but I didn't think much of that. When I came out there was an envelope addressed to me on the bed. It was a cute envelope, kind of antique looking and the words were written using calligraphy. I opened it up and there was a clue written on a piece of paper using the same lettering and on antiqued looking paper. The clue said "Fire Extinguisher" and a couple of the letters were underline, and on the back there were numbers and a heart shaped key taped on the back. So I walked out into the hall and found by one of the fire extinguishers another letter, same envelope, same lettering. It said "Front Desk" with more underlined letters in the word, numbers on the back, and a heart shaped lock taped to the back.

So I went to the Front Desk of the Holiday Inn (which is right nearby) and asked if Scottie had left something there for me. At first I felt kind of silly because I was worried that they guy working wouldn't know what I was talking about. But he did of course lol, and gave me the next envelope. It read "Excercise Room" with more letters and numbers and a heart key on the back. There was also a key card in the envelope. Ok, just so you know, all of the envelopes had a few underlined letters with numbers written on the back, as well as a different heart shaped lock or key on the back. Now I can just move on with my story. hehe

So anyway, I went to the excercise room and used the key card to swipe my way in. There was a little shelf inside that had another envelope propped against a glass. Inside I found my next clue that said "Library". So I figured that meant the library in town but I wanted to make sure that there wasn't anywhere else that could mean, so I asked the person at the front desk before I left. He said that there wasn't anywhere else that could mean. So I went out in search of the library. Me and Scottie had been around the town and had shown me some places, so I was pretty sure I knew where it was. On the way there I was pretty sure I knew where I was going, but I went and checked in an information building. They told me I was going in the right direction. So I finally got to the library and asked one of the librarians if I had an envelope there for me. Now I was really nervous about being wrong because I wasn't asking people that I was sure would know what was going on. He seemed confused and went to the spot where the libriarians check out books for you, and found an envelope for me. The next clue said "Subway".

I had remembered passing a Subway on the way there, so I went back to it. I asked if there was anything there for me and the guy working said there wasn't anything. (me: *dies*) I asked if Scottie had been there, and he continued to be confused. But there were 2 woman in there that were nearby and eating and they said that Scottie had worked in the -other- Subway (Scottie had worked 2 jobs while he was there, Subway was one that he was doing for a while but he quit before I got there. Which is good because otherwise I wouldn't have ever seen him! Plus, that was too much...) So I went out to the other Subway. I had thought he had worked in a Subway in a different location but I thought that I must have just misremembered because I saw that Subway on my way to the library. Scottie said that he had meant to leave me money there so I could get food, but forgot to. That was ok though, I wasn't hungry at the time, just thirsty.

So I got to the next Subway and the woman working talked to me a little bit (there was a Christmas party that we didn't go to that they were hosting) and I got my next clue. The next clue said "Celtic Music Store". He had made a point of showing me the store not long before that even though it was late and it was closed. So I headed out to find that store. However, I didn't remember exactly where it was. I had a general idea, but still. Anyway, I ended up a little off track but asked a guy in a different store where that store was. He didn't know, but he directed me to a guy that had a food shop across from where he was set up. That guy knew where it was, and told me that it was up the road (and told me the exact location). The Celtic Music Store is a store inside of a mall type place made from an old church (at least I think). So anyway, I took off running for there. When I got there the woman gave me my next clue and with it was a gift certificate for $25 for something in the store! hehe The woman that was working was going on about how romantic it was and how cute she thought it was (I agreed! lol). So I opened the clue and it said "Ask at the puzzle solution."

So then I went back to the dorm and figured out the puzzle solution. He didn't make it too hard so I got it in a couple minutes. The answer was Holiday Inn.

So I went back to the front desk of the Holiday Inn and I think I asked if Scottie was there. The manager then called Scottie and said "Somebody's found their way back here... Do you want to talk to her? ... Oh, ok." He then told me to go up to room 301 in the hotel. So I went up to 301 and knocked on the door. Scottie answered the door and he was all spiffed up in a nice black button-up shirt, pants and shoes and had on this nice cologne. The room was this big fancy suite with a fireplace and such. There was a bottle of champane on the coffee table. So we went to the center of the room and he asked me how my hunt was. He was hoping that I liked it and wasn't going to be mad at him or something... but I liked it and thought it was cute. hehe

Then he said 'And now for the fun part...' and pulled out the box with the ring in it, opened it, and asked me to marry him! Of course I said yes! and kissed him. hehe Then we ordered dinner and had the room until the next day. And the keycard to the excercise room just so happened to be the keycard to the room. lol

So that's how my Scottie proposed to me. It was so sweet!

Hmm... Thinking about that made me happier. I miss Scottie...
