So tired...
Sep. 3rd, 2005 01:24 amLast night I was so tired that I actually fell asleep while on the computer. I've never done that, not to that extent anyway. Today I've felt like a zombie. Well, technically not a zombie. But I've pretty much just spent the day going thru the motions. I was dangerously close to falling asleep in organic chem today too. Bleh. I'm very happy it's weekend. I'm not entirely sure what's drained me. Possibly different stresses on me this week all together.
Anyway, after classes I had a couple hours before mom could pick me up, and I was planning on reading organic chem, but instead fell asleep in the library for some amount of time, I'm not entirely sure. I think about an hour or more. I couldn't wait to come home and, well, there wasn't anything in particular I was looking forward to doing. Perhaps sleep.
Mom picked me up and was like 'hey! One of my coworkers Terri has a worm or a trojan or something on their computer! I told him that you were a computer wiz and could fix it for him!' Great... flippin fantastic... I was tired, hungry, and braindead. And now I get to go fix someone's computer. *eye twitches*
This is the sort of sitch that brings this one icon I have to mind, it says 'No, I will not fix your puter.'
Man! Don't offer my services as a computer person to someone without my consent! She doesn't know how long it takes to fix some things. Bleh. I was stuck there for an hour, but I fixed their bloody computer.
And helped them with other things. Like Terri's homepage was on msn, and he wanted it back on pasty.net. But didn't know how to change it. Er.
They have firefox on their computer, but Terri and his wife don't use it because they love IE. I'm assuming that their son uses Firefox. Why didn't he fix it?? Of course, I can't just assume that he is computer proficient just because of his age.
Gah though. I don't want to randomly just start fixing other people's computers. Mom was like 'I thought it would just take you a couple minutes and be done.' Me: -_-
I fix my computer. I'll fix Carrie's computer. That's about the extent of it. Not that I'm mean, but the only people that I will subject myself to headaches for are those that I care about. I'd help Krissy if she needed, but she's computer proficient. I'd help Scottie too, if he needed it, but I don't think he'd actually need my help. lol
Speaking of Krissy, she called before I got home like 3 times. She was up here for today, and she wanted to go out to dinner. So we were going to go to the White House, which is very near where we live. But it was bloody packed, and she didn't want to go to Slim's Cafe. Since that is the extent of the restaurants here, we drove to Calumet and went to the Michigan House. It was fine, because they have good food. However, it took them over an hour to get our food! x.X
But it's alright, me and Krissy had a lot to talk about. We talked at length about Katrina and the government, and her conspiracy theories about the weather and the government, among other things. hehe
It was really nice. n.n
In other news, I have a terrible crampish feeling in my left leg extending from my hip to my knee on the outside. I think I've been overdoing it a bit, walking/running at home, walking on campus (and taking the stairs everywhere), walking/running around Houghton, and such. That and I think I'm kind of dehydrated. I hope it's back to normal tomorrow. It's really irritating. :P
