This morning I had biochem, Dr. Adler was just as hyper as usual. Yesterday was interesting. My zoology professor is possibly the most boring person on the planet. I love zoology, yet I spent the last 20 minutes looking at the clock thinking 'isn't class over yet? Fun... I had a friend that was taking botany the same time I was, and he had zoology then. He hated that professor. He actually told him that he hated the way he was teaching. I don't think he's nessessarily a bad teacher as of yet, he's just really dull.
My organic chem teacher is also somewhat dull, but not as bad as the other. He's not always boring though. He was showing us that the definition of organic chemistry used to be the chemistry of compounds made by living systems, but then Wohler (I think that's the spelling) in 1908 synthesized urea using non-organic compounds, so now organic chemistry is just the chemistry of Carbon. Anyway, he said 'if The West Side Story had been out there, the scientists would have been out in the halls singing 'Urea, Ureeeeaaaaa...' and he had this whole song to this idea. It was a couple minutes long, and he got applause when he was done. It was rather entertaining, and not exactly what I was expecting to happen... lol

I'm going to sculpture in like a half hour, and then later today I have my first zoology lab. Fun. I bet I'm going to have to watch the laboratory safety video again! I've had to watch this same safety video in every lab I've ever taken. The lab instructors know that we've seen it a million times each, but they still have to show it... Oi. And I'm going to have to watch it twice this semester too because thursday is my organic chem lab... *bangs head on keyboard*

Today I woke up at 4:30 am to come to school too! Fun. -_-; Mom had to work at 6 am this morning, and since she wasn't going to come and get me after working for 45 minutes and then bring me to school (obviously) I got to come with her and sit in the store at 5 am. She couldn't bring me up here either early because I don't even know if anything is open on campus at 5 am. Most likely not, at least not to students/general public.
Terri (the guy that is taking over the manager spot if Debbie decides she's not coming back) said 'so Tanya will just have to come to work then? She'll work right?' He seriously thought that at 5 am I'm going to start unloading frieght for free out of the goodness of my heart, then go to school. For a place that mom hates and she isn't being paid enough to work there anyway, let alone get free labor from me. He was absolutely serious. I'd rather stay in the damn car, kthx. I didn't have to stay in the car though, I sat downstairs in the basement and stared blearily at my organic chem book.
Woo.

Oi.

Sculpture looks so boring! I've had a design course before at LSSU, not a 3-D one but a 2-D one, and I was bloody bored to death. We'll be making things, but still, the first project is a box of some sort that is made for 5 lbs of potatoes. And she says that she might give us more work, but the ppl that she had last year said that they had enough to do, but she said they didn't look busy enough. I don't need more busy work, really. She says that also we're going to do group projects in class (um. yay? ...*runs*) and that she's going to have still lifes for us to draw, to improve our drawing skills, because she's assuming we don't have any. Well, this is all well and good for those who aren't good at drawing, but really, I am good at drawing. And I hate still lifes. I like to draw animals and people, scenery is the closest to still life that I like to draw... or perhaps a figurine of an animal or person. I drew skulls last year, that was cool, but it was a line drawing where you don't look at the paper... turned out nice. Anyway, I'm getting off topic. Drawing pictures of vases and fruit and fabric, etc, sitting on a table bores me so much.

That's not my main complaint though. This woman sounds a lot like the woman who taught me 2-D design at LSSU! And I just couldn't stand that woman! At least this woman says that she isn't an adult babysitter so she's not going to be making sure we come to every class and lab... the other woman treated us like elementary students and ONG we needed to be in the lab so that she could help us. I didn't need help on anything, I needed something more challenging and creative to do. I ended up always just wearing my headphones to class to ignore her the whole time I was there. Now, I don't think this woman is that bad, but the type of person she seems to be is the kind that sort of drives me nuts.
Just one class that I'd enjoy this semester... is that so much to ask? *dies*

We're going to do a monument too at the end of the semester (individually of course, just to clarify) and everyone is going to do it on the Italian Hall Disaster. Now, that's an easy subject for me because I've known that story since elementary school (local tragedy. A lot of people died in the Italian Hall one Christmas eve in 1913, there was a benifit party for striking workers and their families, someone yelled fire and everyone rushed the doors... that opened inwards. People kept rushing forward and the people in front were crushed against the doors. Most died of suffication. Literally entire families were wiped out. There was no fire.) The hall has since been torn down but I've been to the doorway that was left up as a monument. It's not far from where I went to elemetary school.
Still, I sort of wish we were doing something else.

I'm tired. Not in a 'I'm going to fall in a heap' tired or anything. Not even really overtired, though that's prolly the best way to describe it. Literally the only thing I can be today is mellow.

I'm in Mary-Anne's art lab at the moment. I came in to say hi, but she's not here. But I really like it in here, so I decided since I didn't have anywhere to be since sculpture let out early that I'd just hang out here for a while. At least I can use the stereo (and computer, obviously) lol. I could even do some art with the general stuff out here, but I'm not going to right now.

I might visit my old revisions teacher if she's around her office. She was cool.

I have something on my mind though that has nothing to do with anything in this entry. Still I wait. *le sigh* Where are you?
