Yesterday I went down to Carrie's camp again. She had to work at 6 am this morning so we didn't stay the night, but it was a lot of fun anyway. We left about 10 am yesterday morning. First off I helped her paint one of the bedrooms in the camp. Since there were the 2 of us it took us half the time (or twice the time, using our logic from the day before! Not that that would make sense to you... We were talking and I said 'well, with the 2 of us it will take us twice, I mean half the time!' We both were saying all these goofy things that day! When we were in the bookstore Carrie said 'that person plays... I mean writes good books! I'm losing it Tawni!!' And then later we were looking at other books and she said 'I like this person's art! Art?! I mean books!!' and then I said 'and he plays good movies! Er, I mean books!! I'm losing it too!' lol I don't know why, but we kept saying everything backwards. lol)
Anyway, I went off on a tangent there. Back to what I was talking about. So we finished up painting that room. I was doing some of the trim in part of the room while Carrie was doing some spackle, and even on a stool on tiptoe stretching I couldn't reach the ceiling like I needed too lol. Carrie had to do the last of that edging lol. And her dad had come over for like 20 minutes or so to pick up something, and he had told Carrie to do spackling so she'd know how. Carrie was like o.O, and told me later that she already knows how to spackle... She did some cracks and me and Care were like 'it looks the same...' But when we pulled out the dresser we saw this giant hole in the wall under a outlet, and we were like 'Shit! Well, I think that could actually benifit from spackle!'
So we did that, and we only had a half gallon to do the room, and we stretched it out and just barely it with what we had, and even had a little left over to paint over the wet spackle under that outlet. Carrie was going around with a paint brush at the end, and I had the roller, and was trying to drain the last couple drops left over in it. lol I was like 'either I'm going to get paint out of this, or I'm going to end up pushing the roller thru the wall... either way...' lol

After we were done, we took out the jetski (we didn't want to bring out jetski number 2 because it's not running the best). Me and Carrie just rode on one, and we went out of Lac La Belle and drove out thru Bete Gris channel and out onto the lake. We went on the opposite shore, the one on the left side of the channel (the other one is the public beach that most people go to). The one that we went on isn't private, there's just a lot of bush behind it, and you can only get to it if you hike in or if you drive some sort of boat there. So we swam there for a long time, the water was beautiful! It was surprisingly warm, actually warmer than Lac La Belle! Which is really odd! So we swam for a long time, then we went and sat on the beach for a while. Then we went to take the jetski back out, and found that it was stuck in the sand! The waves had pounded it into the sand and was making it kinda tough to move. But we got it out. And me and Carrie were like 'and we were afraid it was going to float away!' lol

Then we went out on the lake with it, and found that the water was really clear. So instead of speeding around we were going around kinda slow looking at all the rocks underwater. It was really cool. I saw a huge fish under there too as we were going along, but Carrie didn't see it because we were moving at a decent speed and it swam away from us, and when we turned around to try and see it we couldn't find it again. I think it was a sturgeon because the thing was huge! Then we went out riding way past Bete Gris, and me and Carrie made plans to go camping next week. Maybe in that area. I think it would be really fun!

Then we went back into Lac La Belle, and parked the jetski. We swam around in Lac La Belle for a while, and we were looking at all the little minnows swimming around the docks. If I stood still, they swam around my legs. hehe

Then we went out to dinner at Eagle Harbor Restaruant. We got a pepperoni and mushroom pizza, which was really good. Carrie got a strawberry dacquri and a amarillo sour. I didn't get any drinks because I didn't have my id. xP Strawberry dacquris have always been my favorite drink besides fuzzy navels, but I tried that amarillo sour and that was really good! I'd say it's among my favorites now too. hehe

It was a really nice day. xD

Then that night I watched with my family 2 movies mom rented. One was The Pacifer. It was alright. Nothing extraordinary, but there were some laughs. My friend Krissy loved seeing Vin Diesel running around in a towel. I'm sure this was something that a lot of girls were fond of, but I dunno, didn't do much for me lol. Not my type. :P
I liked the sediment of that one woman when she called the baby and evil puke machine. lol

Then we watched Are We There Yet. That was the most annoying movie I've ever watched! I spent the whole movie wanting to kill those damn annoying sprogs. And to think, the main charachter was a perfectly good childfree guy, until he sees a pretty single mom and wants to help her out. The kids are so stupid they cause them to miss a plane and a train so he has to drive them there. And trying to drive them there causes his expensive brand new uninsured car to get more and more wrecked until the end result is it actually being set on fire and being completely and totally demolished.
But in the end of the most annoying and hellish ride there, he decides that he is just in love with those kids. It doesn't make any sense! They were the most horrible sprogs and he, someone who didn't even like kids to begin with after just a day falls in love with them?? (for lack of a better way to put it). Second movie with a perfectly good childfree person getting converted. Ug. But at least The Pacifer was plausible.

If you haven't seen Are We There Yet and have any thought to do so, don't. It's the most annoying movie I've ever seen. x.X In the middle of the movie I actually got up and walked out to get something to drink, because I didn't want to watch it anymore because it was making me irritated! I came back though and watched the rest of it. No, I don't know why I did that either. I would have had a better time walking my dog.

Today I worked from 6 to 12. It's wierd being there for closing, considering by 11 all the other cashiers are gone, so it's just me and Laverne at the courtesy counter until midnight.
I was in the back when one of my coworkers, a girl about my age named Jolene came back to clock out at 11. She asked if I liked working there, and I paused for a second and said 'well... ...it's a job.' Implying that no, I didn't like it much. She said, yeah, that's what I think of it too. I asked her how long she's been working there, and she said she's been working there since Novemeber. She said it was sad, because she's been working there less than a year but she's one of the people who's been working at IGA the longest, not counting the couple people who work at the courtesy counter. I said yeah, but it's not surprising. lol People start and quit there all the time. So yeah, my hate of the place is pretty much universal... lol One girl... I think her name is Estelle has been working there for just a couple weeks, Justine, the girl that helped train me in has been there 3 months, Stephany has been only working there a couple months... Anita has been working there less than a year when I asked her, and she said that's too long... lol The only person who I can think of that's been working there any stretch of time besides the 3 people that work the courtesy counter are Bonnie and she's been working there for 7 years. x.x I can't imagine ever spending that long there. I would go insane!

Anyway, it's 1:31 am now, and I still need to walk the dog. So I should go do that... :P

Well

That was interesting. I was sitting here on the computer and I got a IM from my and Carrie's friend Kevin. Kevin who atm is in North Carolina (he's in the army, he was up last week on leave) messaged me and told me to tell Care that he loves her and he always will no matter what. I took my away message down and said that I would tell her that. Then he was like no! Don't tell her that! She wouldn't understand! I didn't think you'd answer. To which I said, well, even if I wasn't there at that moment I would have seen it when I did come back on the computer... and he was like true...

He told me not to tell her, but I think I will anyway. We tell each other everything. She told me about something that happened last week at that concert her, Lissa and Kev went to (and she didn't tell anyone else). I'd put it here, but then it's a secret and in case someone stumbles upon my journal I wouldn't want them reading it. (and no, it's not sex or anything like that, so don't even think it. Although me saying that must bring up that though. Get those thoughts out of your mind right now! lol)
Anyway, I don't see why I shouldn't tell Carrie that he said that. We already know that he's in love with her, and has been for years.

He's leaving for Iraq soon, will be there for 6 to 8 months, and then he's done with the army entirely. He's convinced he's going to die there though. I told him that he'll be fine, and he better be so he can come home to Carrie. He better be fine! For one thing, I don't know what will happen to Care if he dies over there. I know that she loves him too.

I should be sleeping. Or walking the dog. No, I haven't gotten around to doing that yet. And it's nearing 3 am. Yay?

But I just thought of something annoying. When I was working tonight as the lone cashier this woman comes into my line. This is the same woman who came in a few days ago with a moderately large order of stuff and told me that I needed to pack all of her bags light. I complied best I could, none of the bags were heavy to me. It was busy and I didn't know how light she needed them. Now she's not an old lady, she's like middle aged or so. Looks healthy enough. She didn't complain about the bags but the next day one of the manager type people tells me that she called and complained about me because I made her bags too heavy. Rick (the manager type guy... I think... I don't know what kind of title he has actually. Anyway, that's not the point) told me that he wasn't mad about it, just he told her that he'd talk to me about it, so he did, and said just to make sure that I didn't pack peoples bags too heavy. I was annoyed, but eh. It's hard to judge, I've never bagged stuff for people before. It gets busy, people have giant orders, and I'm bagging and running the stuff thru... and people don't want heavy bags and they don't want too many bags... so I have to try and strike a balance between the two.
Anyway, tonight this woman comes in, and obviously doesn't want to come in my line. But I'm the only damn person there. So she has to. She tells me to make sure that I make her bags light. Ok, that's obvious. She has like 8 items. One paper bag gets 2 tiny cans of cat food, a package of toilet paper, and an instant bag of noodles. It's really light. The second bag has 2 small bananas, a bottle of ketchup, a can of soup, and another small item. The bags have like no weight to them, and they're not full at all obviously. She picks them up and puts them in her cart. 'No no no, this won't work! Just give me another bag and I'll do it myself!' Me: *boggles* *hands her bag* I could understand if she was a decrepit old lady, but she's not! I don't think there is anything wrong with her physically, I think it's all in her damn head. I better not get another talking to about me packing her bags to heavy, because the bags weren't heavy at all...

Not that I care overly much. I hate my job anyway, but that would be really bloody annoying.
