Our poor car... o.O
Mar. 16th, 2005 06:23 pmToday was not fun. I had a environmental geology exam today, I've been studying for it all day on 4 hours of sleep. Great, ok, I take the exam, go thru all my classes, everything is going ok. I'm really tired, but today is over, all is good. Right?
Right?
o.O
Sooooo, we're driving home. Mom needs to hurry up and get home because she needs to get down the lake (gramma's house). She's stuck behind this guy driving pretty slow up the road so she passes him. We get around the other car and I was kind of o.O about it because there -was- oncoming traffic, and if it were me driving, I wouldn't have passed at that point. But I digress. So anyway, we're driving along and boom, there's a truck pulling out in front of us!! He didn't see us... we couldn't stop... and there was this wall to the right of us so we couldn't do anything but hit the truck. x.X So into the back side of the truck we went! And it wasn't even a regular truck, it's this big ol heavy duty work type truck... The other guys truck lost a hubcap and his mudflap was hanging by a thread. Our car however is missing a large portion of the left side front. The windshield is broken and the dashboard is pushed into the car (I didn't even see this until much later, that realisation was very unsettling). The hood was crumpled up too. The other guy stopped and he seemed like he felt really bad about the whole thing. He didn't see us, there was this really big snowbank in whatever car wants to pull out line of sight (it pisses me off when roads are like that! It's fucking hazardous!! obviously.) He can't have been much older than me. (and is it a bad thing that I found him really cute? xP He had this big fucking blue eyes and he had dark hair and he was tall... uhm yeah...) Anyway, back to my point. He called the police, and in the meantime he called his dad (I'm assuming it was his dad that came, he looked like older grey version of him lol) and I used his cell phone to call up my grampa. So then the cop got there and was like, so you just need one wrecker than? And mom was like, we're going to try and drive it home (a tow truck should be covered by insurance, but mom would have to pay to get it out and she couldn't afford that. That's what she said anyway, so we wanted to drive it home.) The radiator wasn't pushed in, which was good. Mom couldn't open her door, she had to climb in and out of my door. So after mom gave the cop her statement, she got in and the younger guy went and gave his statement, and while this was going on the dad came over and was like 'you need to tie down the hood, I'll fix that' and mom was like 'oh yeah! x.X' Yeah, not thinking clearly. So he messed around with the hood, and he got up on the hood and jumped on it to push it down so we could see out the window and he would be able to close it. So he got that set up, and then we very slowly drove home. It smelled. And parts kept flapping around trying to fly off. We got it home though.
Aaaand my shoulder has just started to hurt. Niiiiice. x.X
I need to figure a way to get to school. I think I'm going to call Scott. (note that I said Scott, not Scottie. Meaning not my brother Scottie (obviously) or Scottie (he doesn't even have a car! He's just like me :P), but Scott, a friend of mine from way back. I even drove to school with him last year, but this year we didn't because our schedules didn't mesh...) But if I could even get a ride from him for a couple days that would be really great.
Ow. Damnit, my shoulder is really getting annoying.
Jared told me that I should see a doctor, but I can't, because guess what? I'm babysitting! Because mom still had to go to gramma's to watch gramma so grampa could go BOWLING!!! Remember last wednesday and my anger about this same damn thing?
...
Not that I want to go to the doctors anyway. I'm sure I'm fine. Or at least I should be fine eventually.
But the bowling is pissing me ooooooofffffff....
Right?
